Which Monitor

the monitor has a green audio in which you plug in the motherboard and in the monitor one of those audio jack things

hdmi? so i need a dvi - hdmi and a dvi - dvi cable?

so what would i need to get sound and picture for the monitor ill be using the monitors built in speakers

if you are using onboard sound then it can be played through HDMI from the card, otherwise there would be no point to having it

An HDMI cable will carry sound from your GPU to monitor speakers,
just enable HDMI output in sound properties.
Or you can use DVI with seperate audio cable.
