It’s not a good build at all. I would strongly recommend cancelling and getting advice. There’s no amendments you can make to that build, it’s just not suitable.

well that is gutting to hear, but i like the honesty this is why i decided to post as i dont really have a clue, i will look into doing that thanks for the advice

I'll be honest...the 4k bit is confusing given you then chose the lowest possible 1080p monitor. This would be perfect for 1440p 144Hz gaming and will outperform the build you listed. The case is a better one but only changed as the case you chose (which is a good case) won't take the cooler and the smaller cooler is not in stock:

Sorry for the confusion, i currently don't actualy have a 4k monitor so obviously dont game in 4k but i would like to in the future and was trying to keep the cost down a bit. but am looking to get a 2nd monitor in the future which would be 4k and use this one posted above as a secondary, and with regards to the the case when you say it wont take the cooler, what do you mean exactly by this? as i have ordered and the pc is now on its way to me so i presumed when it went through its testing phase any issues would have come up there but i may be missing something here ( as stated earlier i am completely new to this)

The cooler not fitting the case was the Corsair one listed in the spec I posted.....the one you ordered will be fine.

I didn't realise it was already dispatched otherwise wouldn't have bothered with the spec. With your system, you may find that you will be needing to spend more money on it very soon as you may struggle with that RAM. Will likely need a new hard drive too, as depending on the games you play, you may not have room for more than one (I currently play 2 games on my system and they take up 150GB of space alone not to mention Windows, any programs etc.)
On top of this the cpu is fine for gaming but will struggle with anything workstation related.

It’s a really bad build I’m afraid. I would seriously call up ASAP and cancel.

I had showed a friend this build who has slightly more knowledge than me and he did say that i will need more RAM and bigger hard drives, so i am aware of this, and will probably get these asap, in regards to it being a "workstation" i had to google if i used that term correctly and turns out i did not it will be used for gaming and generic use i.e surfing the web doing the odd word document / PowerPoint. not engineering stuff ( sorry for the confusion again! )

in regards to upgrading RAM and Storage if i am not happy with it when it comes is there an option VIA PCS to exchange / upgrade parts rather than the whole PC? as i would be more inclined to do this first rather than cancelling my PC and reordering, ( i am reluctant to do this as it has taken has while to build and dispatch and i have gone through a finance company to pay for the system, and its been a bit of hassle to be honest through no fault of PCS

It'll probably game very well. It just wont be the fastest for anything more multi-threaded.

*EDIT* There's a guy on youtube (who does graphics card benchmarks in video games) who runs an overclocked 3600x and routinely gets decent framerates with 2060 supers so you should be fine.

Does he use only 8GB of low frequency RAM though? Many modern games have 8GB RAM as a minimum requirement and games are utilising more as time goes on. Any half decent gaming system these days will have 16GB of 3000MHz+ RAM
That.... Is a good point.

You may want to invest in some decent ram (at least 3200mhz and at least 16Gb) at the earliest opportunity. Should be no more than £150 at this point in time.
