There's nothing wrong with Gigabyte whatsoever. Just misinformed/snobbish idiots.
This is what i posted for Velvetsky01,as to the reason i did not particularly like the Gigabyte board.
The Gigabyte Z170XP is not a full size ATX board its a bit narrower,so it does'ent use the last screw downs on the right hand side you need to be very careful when connecting power to the board as there is less support here, Also there are only 2 PCI-E slots,The smaller ones about 40mm long, the asus has 3. I have a sound card Asus Essence STX which fits into this type of slot.the lower one will be obstructed by the graphics card and i dont like the idea of squeezing it in above, whereas the asus board has a slot at the bottom out of the way. I could plug it into the other 16x slot that is shared by the GTX as i am doing now but that makes the slot 8x. hope im'e fairly clear in what i want
