What's my order status Order update? And poor communication

There's nothing wrong with Gigabyte whatsoever. Just misinformed/snobbish idiots.

This is what i posted for Velvetsky01,as to the reason i did not particularly like the Gigabyte board.

The Gigabyte Z170XP is not a full size ATX board its a bit narrower,so it does'ent use the last screw downs on the right hand side you need to be very careful when connecting power to the board as there is less support here, Also there are only 2 PCI-E slots,The smaller ones about 40mm long, the asus has 3. I have a sound card Asus Essence STX which fits into this type of slot.the lower one will be obstructed by the graphics card and i dont like the idea of squeezing it in above, whereas the asus board has a slot at the bottom out of the way. I could plug it into the other 16x slot that is shared by the GTX as i am doing now but that makes the slot 8x. hope im'e fairly clear in what i want

I was a bit twitchy about my order - placed on 24th of August. Tried a few times to get through on the phone and there were very long waiting times which built up the frustration. Have called today, hold time 6 minutes, spoken with a very nice chap called Shaun, who was professional and understanding of my urgent need as a 45yo nerd to have my nice new gaming pc in time for my 12 days off work that start on September 11th.
There are some delays, but things are going back on track and I'm assured the PC will arrive (just) in time. I'm a content customer.

Other forum posts led me to believe there might be a problem with the MOBO combo I had checked, but there was not - Speak to someone before you make any changes to an order!

I've just had an update after ringing PCS this morning that they have replaced the RAM in my build with Corsair RAM and it's now passed the reboot test with an ASUS mobo. They said as long as it passes the burn test today it should be dispatched today for delivery tomorrow

In some ways I do wish I had Waited but at the same time I never usually muck around with my PC bar add a gpu or ram so not too worried

Also was fed up with waiting lol

It arrives later today so look forward to seeing it

They have now run out of the Corsair RAM so mine will be early next week, either with Corsair RAM or with Kingston if Asus can finally sort the board out, so I gather. Hey ho, that will be fine.

I have Just been reading up on Gigabyte boards.... http://www.gigabyte.com/mb/100-gaming/Model If any of these four would be offered, I would go over to Gigabyte in place of ASUS But all I see that are on offer by PCS is two boards that look cheap and boring, and can't even find them on the Gigabyte website :shifty:

I got a Zotac one. Not 100% sure which model of the 980Ti but I know it's not a reference card as it has aftermarket fans fitted

Still havent got my PC, was sent off on Wednesday evening and its at the swiss-french border since friday 9 am. Last status is "Consolidation Scan"
