What's my order status Order update? And poor communication

Just spoke to PCS on Live Chat today and they said that the new RAM that they ordered doesn't look promising in order for it to be dispatched by tomorrow. I was also told that all skylake builds have been put on hold for a few days.

I'm now thinking that the reason they took the Azure off of the review section was because of this issue. It would be a terrible idea if they let the orders of Azure's to pile up without being able to send out any of them.

I think they should tell the rest of us then, at the very least a smidgeon of communication from them would be appreciated

Yes if all Skylake builds have been put on hold for a few days it would be quite nice for them to let us know... I tried to contact them via Live Chat today but it timed out. If they took the Azure off the review section because of this issue then at least they were actually not letting the orders build up once they knew...

Did they say why it wasnt promising for deliveries tomorrow? If this third Ram option doesnt work maybe it is a problem with the motherboard? Maybe of they upgrade the motherboard we can all get the 3000Mhz Ram we thought we were getting in the first place?

For us it is a bunch of unknowns. Seems like it may be for them too. I am sure they are working to resolve this as fast as possible. We may have to wait a bit longer for our very expensive toys (admit it...), but I am sure we will get them before long.

Ar least I hope so :)

I was told that the technicians didn't believe that the problem with the RAM would be fixed by tomorrow as the new g skill RAM isn't really fixing anything at the moment. It's not just a problem with the motherboard in the Azures so I don't think it's something they can fix by upgrading the motherboards.

Once again I have had to do the chasing and contact PCS regarding my order

They didn't dispatch my order today. And told me on live chat that they will try to send it tomorrow if the issue with the ram is sorted but will phone me to give me more details tomorrow. shouldnt they be contacting us!? Very poor that they are not contacting us - does seem that the customer is doing all the running (shouldn't be that way should it!?) they did however offer me free Saturday delivery IF it is ready tomorrow (but after reading the above I doubt that'll be the case) I'm sure they are doing all they can in terms of the build but abit of information the customers way really would be appreciated

I got mine yesterday, it's worth the wait, first impressions are very very good. I played some games and all seems fine so far, so maybe I got lucky and got unaffected ram. I might post a review later on.

Did you pay for fast track? If you didn't...I am even more frustrated I now have to wait until Tuesday for mine although so good news that the RAM has managed to stay stable in their quick test it is only going to be Tuesday due to the fact it needs to see how it acts under the stess test before they are happy to send it out

Just spoke to Sean. Apparently some folk have switched to the Gigabyte X99 motherboard, no review spec Azures have been sent out yet, some amended versions have. They are testing and retesting a number of different Ram options and there are constant tooings and froings with Kingston and Asus. Apparently the current tests are looking very promising and Sean says it is very likely that I will get mine next Weds/Thurs. Currently I am on day 10 preproduction.

If they finally get this out to me within 3 weeks of ordering it, which as they say is very likely, and considering the worldwide hassles with Skylake, I will be perfectly happy.

They may not be too proactive in terms of communicating with us, I guess in this constant testing and retesting phase its quite tricky to give a definitive message, but at least someone will pick the phone up and talk to you if you call them.

Yes with the review spec too, customer services told me an hour ago that none of these had been sent out yet, they do seem a bit stretched at the moment.
 
I've had a nightmare with customer services. I'm a balanced guy, but I had about 5 false promises this week and lots of contradictory updates.

A guy named Mustafa really came through for me in the last couple of days though. Apparently, even though my order states 13 working days pre-production, it has in fact been built. I've been told that the status couldnt be changed because they were undertaking a stocktake.

Hoping for some major movement early next week. Ordered on the 11th August.

Yep I too would like to show some appreciation for Mustafa he promised yesterday to phone when I spoke to him on live chat which he did today. During which showed compassion when speaking to me about my order.

I too ordered on the 11th Mustafa told me to expect mine to be with me on Tuesday or Wednesday after the ram goes through one final stress test - no not ideal as it should be with us by now but on the right track

Agreed completely.
Mustafa has been amazing. Offered to give me a call last week to tell me the results of one of the tests and explain to me what the issue is. He made me feel comfortable leaving the issue in PC specialist's hands because at least I know it should be a highly tested PC. He also joked about my beast of build and said that they weren't keeping it just to play on it.

I was going to get the Azure but I decided I'd prefer to spend more money on my motherboard and decided to invest in the ASUS VIII Hero

Mine's been in testing for 3 days now.. Guess my rig is one of the test builds

Or they're enjoying Witcher 3 on ultra. I have been waiting for my mini PC with gtx960 only for 5 days so far and I hope they they are not going to satisfy themselves with Medium details and send it straight way to me!

4 working days in Testing now got an email saying "There is a slight delay in the testing process caused by a very busy period that we are experiencing and we are doing everything possible to deliver your order as quickly as we can. "
