Are you sure that the card won't fit in behind the bracket anyway? I thought they were designed to be over the top of the PCIE mounts.

How long should it take to power PC up. As it seems to be taking ages compare to last 1. To power this up it taking

42.3 seconds. Is that normal or not

Notice when it powers up. It stops on dram for a while then goes go to cpu

The new AM5 boards/platform do seem to take 2-3 times longer than the AM4 boards to boot...and ocassionallyyou may see an even longer one as it retrains the memory for best compatibility.

Mine ranges from 45s to 200s.

Now i have had the machine for over a week. I have to say. Amazing Machine. Fast CPU/GPU. Its been fantastic playing different games with everything maxed out. ray tracing, frame generation on my 360hz OLED monitor in HDR.. with over 200FPS. nooo Way i could go back to IPS Panel now lol. ( Oled all the way lol )
CPU temps been sitting around 45/55c
GPU temps. sitting around 60c GPU Power 350w
Amazing experience. Sooo Happy i purchased AM5 now.
Regarding AM4 build. I decided to RMA Later on and get PCS to look into it to find out the issue. and decided to keep for a backup.

Am I right in thinking you paired with a new OLED and at first had issues with flickering? Did that get sorted or did you have to swap the screen?

That is correct. They sent a replacement. Not had any issues at all since got it replaced..
As stated. This build nearly 1 year old no issues at all..

My last build AM4 with 3080. I got during covid. Since i got it. had issues ever since Parts changed/Replaced. RMA Twice. Complete new build and still had issues.. Not saying its PCS fault. But stuff happens, I knew i should have waited to everything went back to normal to get pc lol
But as stated. Am really with this tho :)

Did you get a refund on the AM4 or did you have to sell it on?

Being on AM5 is no bad thing, you’ve got the option to slap in perhaps a 10800X3D for another boost in a few years or whatever they may call the next cpu range

I’ve been mega happy with AM5, solid as a rock

I kept my RTX 3080 for backup. Kept both NVMe Drives from AM4 build and installed into this machine. Sold rest of parts on.
I tried my AM4 build and started working, then 30min after. everything shut down.
So money i got put it safe now for when i need to upgrade or anything :)
