I received my new Vyper Series: 17.3" laptop a few days ago:

Hi, sorry to bother, but were these results with the GPU set to discrete in the BIOS? I’ve seen it suggested elsewhere that it can make a difference to 3D results as otherwise everything is being transferred to the screen through the iGPU. Wonderfully thorough overview by the way, thanks!

Great, It's quite powerful, just don't expect over 4 hours of battery life. I'm getting a portable outlet to compensate. Please let me know if you have the same issues as me. I had a couple of small problems - Bluetooth stutter on battery and the keyboard light making a high pitched sound. I'd rather have these small problems though than pay razer £1000 more for a 2070 max q and a smaller battery.

Thanks for the advice. I changed mshybrid to dGPU and saw a slight improvement in performance connected to power and on battery:

I guess if you're connected to power and just want to game then you could improve performance by switching to dGPU and back to mshybrid when on battery.

Hi, I didn't see any GPU related settings in BIOS. Are there?

My laptop is Vyper 17.3. I've just check the BIOS again, there's no Switchable Graphics like yours. The version mentioned at the bottom blue panel is also 2.21.1277 for mine (photo below)

I see. I thought it's quite odd that given same BIOS version I am presented different menu. Thank you for the advice. I'll check with PCS on this.

Yeah, that’s quite an important setting that you need on this chassis, if you explain it to PCS they’ll be able to help out.

Guys, I was thinking about undervolting the Vyper 15.6.
What you suggest to start? Should I do through BiOS or use the XTU? Then to do the stress test should I use XTU or prime95?
I have never done it before but would like to do as way of getting slightly better temperatures at the CPU.

You can’t undervolt 10th gen through software, can only be done through the BIOS. So you’ll be limited to -50mv

Id use Prime95 for stress test, and then something like fire strike.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Should I do the fire strike test before the prime95 or the other way around?
And actually there is a video on YouTube showing. You enable the undervolting software through the BIOS.
Have you tried any undervolting?

Hey there !!

Thanks very much for all the data you gave us ! I'm thinking of buying a Vyper too, and I still got a couple of questions, maybe you can answer those ? (not sure though).
Do you know what the power limit allowed by PCSpecialist for this specific laptop is ? 90 W ? 120 W ?
I'd also like to know wether you've checked DPC latencies for this model depending on the power profile ?
