Vyper 17.3" 2020 - driver problem after installing new ssd and ram

Hi,
I just received my new Vyper laptop yesterday. The specs is shown here https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/saved-configurations/vyper-17/w8DtqNm!6z/
I also installed new ssd which is Micron 2200S NVME 1TB and ram to 16 GB.
Then I did a clean installation of window 10 on the new ssd and did all required updates from Midrosoft. However, I have problems with drivers(provided by PCspecialist) as shown via the attached photo. The chipset driver can be installed successfully. The problematic drivers, provided tech support, can not be installed including (see also via attached photos)

This problem affect the battery consumption significantly and sometimes autofan speed in office mode doesn't work properly leading overheart and freezing window. I sent email to PCspecialist but still wait for their responses. Just would like to hear from you. Do you have any suggestions about this issue? Thank you in advance.

A little review: this laptop is solid and well-built. Screen is fast and accurate. Weight~2.23 kg + 0.6 kg for adapter. Personally, the downside is speaker despite of THX certificate and driver. Output sound is not just clear enough even with hi-res audio. Soundstage is narrow with bad separation compared to my old Hp pavilion power (B&O speaker).

Note that I repeat the clean installation process for two to three times. But the problems still remain.

You should let windows update install all the drivers it can, you have to reinstall windows, then run windows updates until there are none left, then go into device manager and see what's left over and post back.

You don't need IRST, it's not really used anymore, same with IME, and you don't have Optane installed in your config, so you don't need that either.

The LAN driver should install automatically with windows updates.

The exclamation marks in device manager are the chipset drivers missing.

Yes, I did the same process as you mentions. I try install the chipset drivers either from pcspecialist or intel. Both can be installed successfully. But the same missing drivers is still there.

Have you tried SpyderTracks' suggestion of allowing Windows Update to install all drivers? The only drivers you may have to manually install (after Windows Update has done it's thing) is the NVidia driver and Control Centre if this is a Clevo chassis.

Yes, the suggested process by SpyderTrack is normally what I did. After allowing Window Update until the system is up to date, the drivers is still missing. So I installed the chipset drivers either from intel and from pcspecialist. Unfortunately, both didn't worked. Sorry if I am not clear.

I would contact PCS then, sounds like it’s a duff install version or something on your account.

Although the software shows my driver is all updated. But some drivers are still missing (see photo).

Driver boosters are inherently dangerous and will damage your windows installation. They should never be used.

Im afraid you’ll need to reinstall windows from scratch and wait for proper drivers from PCS.

I'm sorry but this was bad advice.

Driver Booster clearly hasn't installed the correct chipset driver because you still have driverless devices. Also you have no idea what drivers it has installed for the other stuff. Just because they no longer have the yellow triangle and exclamation mark next to them does not mean they're working properly.

Driver install tools like Driver Booster should always be avoided. If Windows Update can't find the right driver then you should go to the device manufacturer's website. In your case, since it's the chipset driver, that's PCS.

If a fully clean install of Windows followed by Windows Update running until no more updates are found does not resolves this issue then IMO you either have a hardware issue or you need a specialised driver (or drivers) that only PCS can supply. Either way you need to phone PCS ASAP and find out which I'm afraid.

Both of this doesn't help. The drivers are still missing. I am contacting pcspecialist. Sure that the first response is to reinstall the windows again. I assure them that I did that and asking to check the provided drivers and hardware problems. Let see what the next suggestions.

Yes, what we're saying is since you've installed driver booster, you've compromised your system, you need to reinstall whatever happens otherwise you WILL face issues going forwards.

You will need to reinstall and then wait for drivers from PCS.

Issue solved.

It is Thunderbolt that needs a driver.
I manually updated thunderbolt in the Device Manager.

That's interesting. Where did you source the driver? Did Windows Update not find it?
