Vyper 17 2070 issues

My vyper arrived last week runing just fine, however this morning when i turned it on and tried to run a game i noticed poor performance immediately i checked for udates and the pc encountered an error, after half an hour of troubleshooting i had discovered the laptop was not detecting my 2070 and was instead using the motherboards graphics card so i went to try and rectify that in NVIDIA control panel when i was greeted by the message "Display settings not available. No NVDIA graphics card detected" troubled i hoped on to device manager but no graphics card detected, only when i show hidden devices it apears with the message "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)".
I would appreciate any input to help me solve this issue before i send it back to the shop.

First of all I would try completely uninstalling the NVIDIA GPU drivers using DDU and then reinstalling them.
