Hide the wires under the desk, you'll give @AgentCooper a heart attack!

Done all your windows updates, reboots, more updates and reboots until it is completely clear? and checked your GPU drivers are latest?
Lol there are alot of cables, most of them aerial and virgin cables left by previous owner and I don’t want to cut them. Also 8 cables are for my cctv. I’ll try to tidy them up more!

I haven’t updated anything yet. Il try windows update.

Quick question regarding Adobe Premiere, I was told to set my software to use the second drive as a cache- does that purely mean I export the videos to this drive or is there anything I need to do in settings in Adobe Premiere? Ifso please how? I’m a Adobe Premiere learner.
in premiere you can do itr through its settings, you choose the target location to use as a scratch drive.

Do full windows update before anything else, when it tells you there are no more updates, reboot again and check it again.

Then go to nvidia and download the latest drivers for your GPU. You bought with an OS so you shouldnt need to worry about chipsets and such

Then start loading your software on

I thought I would be able to display both monitors for my pc even if one is connected to cctv via hdmi, I could press a button on my old monitor and toggle between different inputs.

Would you say this caddy is ok to install my okd sata drive to xfer information? I decided to buy this instead of opening my new pc and installing it there

I checked on this, as I remember its not immediately obvious with PremPro, in your menu, chose edit, then at bottom theres preferences, select general. Look at the media cache tab and you should have an option to choose a cache location, I use a separate SSD drive for mine, it will normally be set to a location on your main drive/OS drive to start with.

I didnt change the media cache database one... to be honest, im not sure if that makes a difference but as it called it a database one, i've assumed its like a template reference type thing and left it.

Ive always thought that the cache folder is basically the scratch drive/same thing... if im wrong hopefully a mod will tell me!
Not an expert with prem pro I just dabble as a hobby

Thanks I have changed that like above. Had a dabble yesterday and although the export settings were set to export 4k the output video was grainy. Guess I will have to mess about.
