In July the screen has been replaced and a couple of months ago the battery died.

I have been notice performances issues in game, low FPS.
A friend of mine who has a less powerful laptop than mine made me notice that the FPS where very low considering the specs.
After a first talk the technical support, I have made a fresh installation of Win11 and reflashed the BIOS, all latest drivers. Actually the performances are a little bit better but still low.
I ran some benchmark test on 3D mark (see attached) and compared to others online are very low. I have set in the Control Center the Turbo Mode and checked that the Win power mode is on Best Performances. I have also played in the Control Center with the settings creating some custom modes and actually it improves a little bit (little bit of 1000 score in 3D Mark) but we are still very far from the the result that I should get. By the way any advice about hoe to set the custom mode parameters of the Control Center?
I have been told that the GPU clock Frequency does not go up, the temperatures are low.
Is it possible that the dead battery inside the laptop might cause the problem? So that the system does not give enough power? I am thinking to remove it.
Any other test I can make? I will not be in UK until February unfortunately I would like to exclude that there is something I can do by myself whithout sending to the assistence.

Thank you.

Have you serviced it since you’ve had it?

What are the temps under load on cpu and GPU?

If the PL values of the GPU are locked, that’s a known issue that a BIOS reflash would cure. If those screenshots are from tests after the BIOS reflash, then you need to contact PCS again, as either windows hasn't been fully configured and control center isn't able to link to the BIOS, or you're using an old windows 10 version of control center on windows 11 (which isn't supported and will lock the PL values), or the BIOS reflash hasn't been successful.

But you wouldn't test with a benchmark, you need 100% stress loads to initially test with furmark (gpu) and prime 95 (cpu)

Thank you SpyderTrack for your quick reply.

I am not sure what you mean for servicing. PCS replaced the screen last July and I asked them to clean inside and replace the thermal paste.

The temperatures under 3d Mark test are for Gpu and CPU are 52-53 as you can see in the graphic.

I already made the Bios reflash, however at which stage should I do it? just after the win11 installation? after or before drivers or Control Center install? Can I do it again just right now?

I just checked the Powerplan Option of Win11, in the Control Panel, and I found out that there is only Balanced. While if I click on the battery notification of the task bar, "power and sleep settings", Power Mode is " best performance".

So any performance laptop needs to be serviced once a year, this means taking the internals apart, removing heatsinks and fans and clearing of dust and repasting the GPU and CPU at the same time.

If you haven't done that, the system will be thermal throttling which means any tests are invalid.

First thing is to repaste.

Then you can do some stress tests to determine where the issue lies outside of that.

You wouldn't use Windows powerplans, you'd use the ones in Control Center which is the master driver.

You can't use a windows 10 control center on windows 11 or it will lock the PL values low, and the only way to correct it is to reflash the BIOS.

So firstly, make sure you have an up to date version of control center.
