Current build feels old i so i want to upgrade now, new WoW expac is very demanding and my pc cant handle the ultimate settings and it also struggled in the Blackops 6 beta, i was looking at getting a new machine but ive been advised thats silly so can someone please help with what to upgrade on this

My monitor is a Razer Raptor 27" 144HZ which im happy to look at upgrading too to get the most out of my build (i want to stay 1440p) so recommendations on monitors is also appreciated thank you
primary use is just gaming, wow, cod etc etc
budget for a new machine was 3.5k if that helps with any advice,
