Monitor - I don't have one. My currently plan is to hook up this computer to my TV in the main living room as I would a console. The TV I have currently is a: Sony Bravia KD75XH8096BU 75" SMART 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV. The end goal is also to have a monitor in one of the spare rooms, so I have the option to hook the computer up to my TV or monitor when needed.

Uses - The system will be used for gaming only really.

Budget - £2000 or less preferably.

I'm really looking for feedback for improvements to this build to make it the best for me before I order.

The overall goal for this build is:
-great performance with no sacrifices
-good PC gaming on current and future games coming this year.
-value for money. If there's any options I've chose I could substitute for cheaper with no/little cons - great!

Ah okay, so I shouldn't look at Intel builds at all then for gaming? I thought AMD was beneficial for multi-tasking which I won't be doing a lot of. Looking into research of AMD vs Intel - it's always hard to get a clear answer about which is better apart from AMD for multi tasking. Thanks for your advice though :)

It is easy to get a clear answer between AMD and Intel nowadays. There are many other sources online in addition to those quoted in the post above.

What monitor will you be using with this (make and model or resolution and frame rate)? It will need to be an expensive one to do justice to the 3080. There are a number of other areas that are not optimal, but the first thing to fix is the CPU.

This is the sort of build that I would recommend for your uses, keeping firm on the gaming front and taking into account you're on a TV and will be thinking monitor down the line......

If the monitor budget is in the region of £1k then you may need the 3080, but otherwise the 3070 has you more than covered.

Thank you so much for this, it's really helpful as I know the focus is on the monitor - which I don't really have. It's really considerate you took into account. I'll keep this as my fav build, and if no one else has any advice feedback - this is what I'll be ordering. Thanks bud :)

Like said above, if you go with a 4K 144hz you’ll want the 3080, if you’re happy with 1440p, the 3070 is more than capable.

What sort of games do you play? Most FPS or Action titles would benefit from a 144hz display. Additionally the 3080 is getting bottlenecked by the monitor here, to make full use of it you really need to spend upwards of £750 on a 4k 144hz or 1440p superwide display. The 3070 might be more in your wheelhouse but is currently out of stock.
