Update on my silly PC/DPD situation:-

Hello guys,

You may remember me from yesterday, the guy with the 4090 and sadly an i9 14900KS. :ROFLMAO:

The PC is now done being repaired, however this is not my first rodeo. The CPU broke once before and DPD decided they wanted to go to the wrong village entirely (About 4 miles away) and then say I wasn't home.

This time they got a bit bolder and actually dropped another parcel of my family's off without ringing the doorbell, and then took a picture of our front door and said we weren't home in order to not deliver the PC and move to the next house as quickly as possible.

Anybody else had any similar annoyances with DPD? (I know it isn't PCSpecialist's fault so I just want a light hearted dissing session of DPD to make me feel slightly better)

Gimme all your DPD stories.

If they're that bad in your area, then see if PCS can set up a one-time code for you to provide to prove delivery. If the driver/courier doesn't receive the code then they're not supposed to deliver it.

DPD might not offer it though, as it may impact their 'performance' figures.

They actually need a code to deliver it. The problem is that sadly they are just taking a picture of the door without knocking and saying we aren't home.

I would report that to PCS

By their contract with PCS as the customer, plus I believe by UK law where if a product is over a certain cost, they are liable to ONLY deliver direct to the customer. If there is supposed to be a PIN and they’re further fluffing that, your local driver needs to be reported because they’re breaking the law as well as their own contract with DPD.

But PCS will have more clout with them, although I’d strongly recommend you call the DPD customer services line and report them off your own behalf also.

DPD are a franchise, delivery agents are mainly self employed, contracted for work by DPD. If they’re not reported for things like this, nothing will change.

its also well worth using the DPD app as that requires a report about the delivery drivers performance after every delivery which is then fed back to DPD
