Underpowered CPU/Overpowered GPU

Hi folks,

Quick question - I am speccing an entry level system for my son which was going to be based on a Ryzen 3 3100/8Gb RAM/Geforce 1650 Super. In a pleasant twist of fate, a mate has offered to sell me an RTX 2060 for a bargain which means I can stick my Titan Xp card into my son's PC. My question is - is this overkill? Will the CPU limit what the GFX card can output? Should I try and find some cash to boost the rest of the spec to avoid hobbling the graphics card? And were would you spend the cash - on RAM (moving up to 16Gb) or a better CPU (I was looking at going up to a Ryzen 3600. I have already bumped up the PSU to allow for the extra load from the graphics card.

Many thanks

Thanks for the quick response. I was of the impression that the 2060 would outperform the Titan and I am the flight simmer in the family - my son is mainly into Roblox and Minecraft. Yes, you are correct, we are just getting a 1080p monitor - the idea is really to get a system we can upgrade easily as he grows so I have spent a bit of cash on the motherboard, case, PSU etc with the view that swapping out a CPU or installing more RAM is easier later on. The idea of the 1650 Super was to get a mid range card that he can upgrade later, but the opportunity to install a more powerful card for not too much cash is hard to resist.

Here you go - this is the spec as it currently stands. I realise the PSU is overkill, but the intent is to make a system that could be added to and expanded over time. Monitor, keyboard and mouse are already taken care of - I think I could stretch the budget to £660.
