Two Problems: (1) Noisy CPU Fan (2) Internet Connection Dropping

That's why PCS connected it directly to the PSU then. I suspected it might be a little short, so yeah if you can grab something like steaky suggests it would work a treat

Firstly, thanks very much for all the help and suggestions so far.

As a bit of an update, my internet disconnection problem seems to have been resolved by updating the motherboard drivers as suggested. The extension lead has enabled me to connect the case fan to the motherboard, so I can now control it via Fanexpert and it is much quieter.

My question now relates to the CPU fan. I would like to change it to a NOCTUA PC NF-B9-1600 Processor Fan but I'm struggling to get hold of one. The Amazon supplier doesn't actually have any in stock (despite their advert saying that they have 12). They have suggested the Noctua NF-B9 PWM Quiet PC Case Cooling Fan as an alternative.

My question is: would the PWM Case Cooling Fan work as a processor fan? I'm thinking in terms of connections and also the fixtures and fittings. I believe that the PWM Case fan has a 4 pin connector whilst the Processor Fan has a 3 pin connector.
