Troubles with my new Desktop PC.

As the subject states, been having trouble with my brand new Custom Build PC from PC Specialist.

Plugged the Display Port cable into my GPU and my Samsung OLED monitor as per the instructions provided. When turning on the PC, it seems to be working, RGB lighting on fans, motherboard, GPU etc. However, it doesn’t seem to be able to boot into Windows as I’m just receiving a black screen on my monitor, but my monitor is detecting a signal.

Trying to access the BIOS is very inconsistent and only works once in a while, however I have managed to access this once and was able to access Windows through the Boot Override function on BIOS. However, when restarting the PC it just goes back to a blank screen. Very frustrating!

Would appreciate any help!

That motherboard has an error display on the top right (looks like and LED number display). Is any code shown there, as the code is decoded using the table on p59-62 in the motherboard manual.

Of course if it’s brand new, something could have become dislodge during transit, so after reviewing what the codes are saying, check whether the RAM, SSD, GPU are fully seated.

Thanks for your response.

There are no beeping sounds when turning on the PC.

When turned on, the motherboard shows me code 9C with a green light.

I turned off the PC and removed the keyboard plugged in via USB and turned it on again. Now it shows me a green light with code D7.

I’m totally new to PCs, so I’m hesitant to unplug or unscrew anything 🥲

Just for future reference, when joining any forum, you agree to read the stickies in the newcomers section, if you don't do that you actually risk getting booted, just warning as a lot of other forums come down pretty hard for not doing it

Try plugging it into the motherboard graphics

Also make sure the PC speaker is properly connected as it should be giving some kind of beep code, even if it was successfully booting it would give one short beep. I suspect the issue is display side.

Another test would be to try connecting it to a TV or other monitor.

BIOS not showing in high resolution is quite often the case, some BIOSes can only support a fairly low maximum resolution.

I have tried plugging into HDMI on my lower resolution HP monitor and I’m still greeted with a black screen.

With regards to the PC Speaker, should the beep sound come from the PC or monitor? I have a Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 monitor with built in speakers.

I have been able to access BIOS once or twice before on my Samsung monitor by spamming the Delete key on the keyboard, but this rarely seems to work, so not sure it’s a display issue 🤔

Have you tried a different port on the GPU, also make sure the GPU is fully seated and all the plugs are connected properly

I’ve tried again and managed to get into BIOS and Windows Repair by plugging the HDMI on my Samsung monitor into the motherboard HDMI. Yay!

I will try running Windows Repair and see what happens.

So I’ve run Windows Repair, my computer restarts and then the screen goes black again.

I manually restart my PC and I’m greeted with a Windows BAD SYSTEM CONFIG blue screen error 😕

Have you installed the latest Nvidia drivers...as I think the 50-series only works with a single version (572.16).
