Tornado R3 Gaming Pc - Wireless Network Not Working

Hi Folks,

Could someone please help, gaming pc not working since unpacked Christmas morning , One hour holding with Currys who told me to install driver again , didnt work, told to contact PCSpecialist , emailed them but not told to register , held on phone 2 hours today and guy told me to register , which I have now done

Just trying to get my sons gaming PC to work.

Please advise

Hi Martin, yes it was all preinstalled with antenna . I have just downloaded the Tenda driver from PCSpecialist and when installing it , it says No wireless adapter device , I suspect the card id faulty

ok, right click on the windows start button and then click on device manager & see if the card shows up in there, it should be under network adapters, if it does, does it have any yellow triangles next to it

there is a Realtek Wireless Lan one showing with no triangles, is this the Tenda one ?
With no Triangles does this mean its working ?

Well, that shows the wireless card is installed and, according to Windows, is working correctly. Not sure why it isn't working then.

As an aside, I am surprised that the antennae were already affixed given it would be easy for them to break in transit/removal from the box....normally they come in the welcome pack.

I'm definitely no Hardware expert but as the card is a Tenda I would have expected this to be the named device listed and when I try installed the Tenda Windows driver , it cannot find the Device

On the window desktop, when you click on the network icon (bottom right corner of the screen), does it show any WiFi networks?

Had a quick look online, and Tenda do sell network cards with Realtek chipsets

Might just be worth whipping theside of the case off and making sure card is properly seated

A few questions:

1) Are you able to share the model of Tenda card? Is it perhaps W322E?
2) By not working, does this mean you see NO wifi netwrks in the list?

Yes its the W322E and no wifi networks listed.
Computer show that the Wifi is off but it will not let me switch it on

Your WiFi is switched off. In your last screenshot, move the switch to ON for the wifi

Weird - couldn't edit that - meant to say, see if you can toggle the Online signup button off and then try turning on wifi...

Ha! My bad - I see that you say it cannot be switch to on. Does it switch on if hotspot is turned off?

switched off Hotspot, switched on Wifi , few blue spins and then when I click on show available networks , Wifi shows as switched off again
