Too much or too little

Hi all, it's been 10 years since I brought my last pc specialist desktop and I'm looking to upgrade.
Main use will be Minecraft and cities skylines 2.
Kids do use it for things like Photoshop but not much.

I'd like to spend around 2k ideally and this build is 2.5k only need the desktop no peripheral.

Sure I can lower it but not sure where I can save money without really affecting performance.

My thoughts the 4070ti seems to be one of the best cards around as does the i7 14700kf
2tb ssd would be needed as I'll add other hard drives for general storage and backups so will need SSD and sata space in the case
I have no interest in lights and have never had liquid cooling before so know nothing about it.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or tips

I have 3 Acer 24" 1080p but will upgrade these in due course
When you say in due course, how soon do you mean, as that 4070 is going to be wasted on that monitor, and the overclocked isn't really worth the extra money over a standard 4070

Main reason for good GPU is reading up about cities skylines needing a good GPU and for Minecraft it's more CPU based.
When I get the new monitor I want to take advantage of it all
Using Nvidia overlay seems to back this up.
Unfortunately I don't really know about motherboards or liquid cooling as I've never had it before so not sure if I need it or not for this system.

well I'd drop to a standard 4070 and put the money saved towards a nice ultrawide monitor like the Gigabyte M34-WQ in my signature, for the extra you spend (about £350) on the overclock GPU you're going to get a couple of FPS
