Teaz - The thing I'm saying however, is the CPU and GPU can NOT really be changed. Get them as high as possible. Everything else can be added to :D

Very true but the main thing is the budget problem :( i understand and my personal recommendation is the vortex you have since its strong and has the capabilities of 2 hard disk but his budget is quite a limit otherwise his bet will just ly in a desktop rig..

Making progress here.

Definately need the OS.

Just fancied blue-ray drive and for the sake of £84 will go ahead with that.

Vortex sounds like a plan.

Started off about £800 now up to about £1200. I hope they take Scottish money.

LoL if that is the case then pez spec is what could be gone with all though the standard wireless should drop the price down on spot as the standard wirelss is actually good and cant go wrong :)

I'll argue that with the fact we're purchasing custom laptops...why would anyone want something "Standard" :D

haha its not actually standard pez, they provide good quality compared to the "standard" usb wireless which has slow signals lol

No worries Jim. Have a serious think about the budget and costs. As Fear rightly pointed out, it could go happily into 2k +Zone. Look at what you can afford and stick to the budget :)
