Yes a shame no game but it was a time limited nvidia promotional thing and times run outcomputer is performing great at the mo had it on 24hrs no probs
Yeah but you would think: if you bought the computer within the promo time it would be valid by the time it turns up on your doorstep. That would make alot more sense to me.
I mean for goodness sake the game only came out 15 days ago...
They can't really send out the code when you order though, cos then people may just order to get the free game and then cancel once they had redeemed the code - at which point it'd be very difficult to do anything about it - and it'd really screw up any estimations for PCS for what needed ordering.
It may also be one of NVidias rules that the code gets sent with the GPU (or after the sale)

They are basically just CD keys, but NVidia/AMD/Intel do place an end date on their promotions, and as soon as that end date is passed then they're no longer useable, whether it was ordered before that end date or not.
Yup. But thats a pretty mean way of doing things. Some people probably even ordered new PC's just to play this game.
Yeah, though I'm not sure how else NVidia/AMD/Intel (they are their rules after all - not PCSs) would do it to stop people taking advantage of it - since they only want it available for certain amount of time.
I was just faffing around weather or not to buy BF4 premium as it was on promotion for £19.99 wow bargain, decided this morning that yes i would buy it as it would be daft to pass it up at that price,just went on site and promotion has ended its now £39.99 pmsl sods law i suppose
Also, I've only been waiting since last Sunday but time seems to have slowed to a crawl!
From NVidias site: 'Free game code offer good from July 23, 2015 through September 8, 2015, or while supplies last', so I guess not.
The other ones you saw at about the same time may have been quotes (that still showed the free game) or machines that had already been ordered within the correct timeframe - note: this is pure speculation on my part.
Unfortunately this always seems to happen when waiting for new PCs

Thanks, yeah I had also reached the conclusion that these were pre-existing quotes but didn't want to miss out due to ignorance!
Now, back to pining for my laptop...

What to do during the wait?
Since you said "As a father of 3 I'm incredibly busy during the day but come the evening I love my gaming! Especially when my wife is on nights which she currently is"
I was going to suggest why not play with your poor ignored kids! - but now when I read it again... maybe that's why you are busy in the 1st place ...giving them attention during the day... in which case Im sorry I thought about suggesting that :/
Id never have bought MGSV either, but was lucky enough to get this free with my recently purchased PC.
The game is great, and although ive played it soooo much... im only 19% complete. 'None of this COD completed in one morning business'.
Had I known - id have purchased MGSV - its easily worth the dosh

To be honest....meh.
Its fun ill give it that. But its not the battlefield franchise game I was expecting. Long gone are the meat grindery maps with assault vs defense or what have you that require any sort of forward thinking. Theres absolutely zero sense of self preservation. No stamina bar so moving from cover to cover has to be timed. Thats all gone: its now very call of duty like with people just sprinting around like captain america and running and gunning COD style.
Hands down the most beautiful game I have ever played, though. My new system runs it like a dream
Sadly in all its beauty theres very little in terms of places to hide when on foot...everyone uses infra red sights so theres literally nowhere to hide and the stupid spotting system..gah.Also unlocks take forever. I have played 11 hours so far and unlocked one sight (not infra red, so still at a massive disadvantage) and one lmg. I understand it will get faster as I get better but that seems like an incredibly long time.
