The wait.

I dont know why I'm making this post (basically inb4 noturblog) but I feel a sense of closeness considering over the past 9 days I have checked the PCS website probably a thousand times a day and come to check the forums simply because its there! Not to mention the experts helped me pick a spec (much <3 to them)

What are you guys doing while waiting for your new computers? I'm finding the wait excruciating. As a father of 3 I'm incredibly busy during the day but come the evening I love my gaming! Especially when my wife is on nights which she currently is.

However with my current free evening time; since I've ordered the new computer I cannot face loading up games and viewing lower graphics and framerates. I know its a proper first world problem but there we go! My current computer is the best part of 10 years old and still runs some games decently with lower graphics, its an old q6600 but the overclockable version with a 650 ti and 6gb ddr2 ram.

I've pretty much exhausted alot of youtube channels that I used to view peicemeal when I was burned out on gaming for a few days. Basically seen every vid that angryjoe does, I struggle to listen to totalbiscuit unless I'm in the mood, I've exhausted every chivalry medieval warfare and battlefield 4 youtube vid I can find (these are the games I'm most looking forward to playing on the new comp!).

Anyone got any suggestions? what are you doing while waiting for your new computer?

damn the 12th of august! I'm already climbing the walls and I only ordered on the 1st september and simply just salivating at the prospect of it getting here. Apparently mines being built either tomorrow or monday and that just sounds awful, an entire weekend to go :( I've never felt so impatient!

You have to upload the pics to a website, I use photobucket for this as I found it to be easy to use. You upload them there. Then copy the url which is easily copied off of photobuckets upload, and then insert it into a forum post by pasting the url into the reply box and then using
at the end; so it would go like

I have a model ship I started about 4 years ago...never got round to finishing it. Might be an idea since the weekend is going to feel about a thousand years long sigh :(

Nice aeroplane. I love models and used to make quite a few though most of them have gone in the bin. Just found a tornado set I forgot I had as a present years back :)

On a different note the azure sure looks pretty. I was going to get one but due to wife agro I had to bring the new computer down to the 1,200 mark so went with a custom build with a 970.

Would really have loved a 980ti though :)

well its the review one but with 2666 mem, it should last a few years hopefully

I did a bit of research when choosing ram, for gaming reasons theres barely any difference between 1600 mhz and 3000 on benchmarking, I believe the difference was something like barely 1 frame loss from top of the mhz scale to bottom: so 2666 should be lovely :)

yep, it would'ent have bothered me if they put 2133 in but i suppose they were trying to keep as close to the review spec as possible, And its still a very good bargain

That wait in limbo is a terrible thing. I've spent the past two weeks looking at Unreal Engine 4 tutorials on how to make photorealistic architectural interior scenes. I plan on making my nice little flat into an interactive walkthrough and when i get the experience turn it into an eerie horror game to suprise my girlfriend. She'll think she's strolling round it as normal then the lights will go off and poltergeist-esque things will start happening. IF i ever figure out how to do it all and IF my Defiance can handle the rendering.

Indeed you can get some incredible looking scenes going. The one below is what piqued my interest.
