The quick way to repair potholes

Heard some noise outside this morning, looked out and saw this ingenious vehicle, it cuts out the old tarmac, sweeps it up, then lays new tarmac

Did they give you a go?

If I give them a postcode, do they fancy a year-long busman's holiday to my mates drive in Cornwall - as I went into one so deep (water-filled so 'invisible') and it tore off my fuel filter, which was strangely positioned for easy access on the outside under the passenger seat

Unfortunately no, they didn't give me a go, looks as though it would be great fun 😂😂

I can't remember where I first saw such a machine but I'm almost certain it was a Scandinavian country.

They would literally do an entire stretch of road overnight.

I recently seen a pothole machine doing its thing too. They all seem like temporary fill tarmac though as it never seems to be very resilient.

No joke, Tories cut the roads budget so much, they bought tonnes and tonnes of substandard tarmac for potholes, none of which passes basic standards for UK commercial use.

So basically any potholes or surfacing that's been done over the last 10 years or so WILL pretty much instantly become unstuck and need redoing.

I know this as a friend of mine works for one of the counties Highways Agency and coordinates the resurfacing routes and resources each year

The mind boggles

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest to be honest. You can always spot them, they appear softer and have more of a porous texture to them.

Yeah certainly be interesting to see how long it lasts, or of course one of the utility or communications companies comes along and digs it up(phone lines are on poles at the minute, as fibre hasn't got to this part of the village) 😂
