I saw a bit of gameplay of it.

I just seems really weird as an mmo. Same mechanics and gameplay of skyrim it just doesnt seem like the quick easy camera movement like all other mmos.

I love skyrim and all stuff on it but really confused to see if i like it or not.

I hope it does well because i dont want to wait another 5 years just get some more storyline for elderscrolls

Cheers for the link, I reckon it's going to be awesome to be honest. Looks like they basically took Guild Wars 2 mechanics, put it in the Elder Scrolls universe and then made it better.

I used my old wow guild, but we never had a website. Maybe I should have asked a mate to use his :p

I got Excellent as well, put my current EQ2 guild name in and put down some previous MMO beta testing I'd done, that got it to excellent.

Signed up. Not convinced yet having seen a few screenshots and gameplay vids, but we'll see :)

Was at Above Average having put my Guild Name/Site in (just used UKMD from GW2), and then pushed it to Excellent by waffling on in the comment section :D

My thoughts exactly Ded; I hope its good, and Im sure it will be, but need to see more content asap! Thanks for the Beta announcement, can count me firmly in. The world of Tamriel can always do with another game. Added Lotro guild information + other mmos tested and explained why they need more beta testers like me, and got an excellent chance (apparently).

Looking forward to this one! Wonder what the subscription basis will be. With another big mmo going the route of free to play (TERA) it is getting more difficult for mmos to sustain a normal monthly subscription based model; if this is the trend that they want to follow then they need to take note of Biowares failures on that front with the recent Old Republic policy of free to play; and look at something like the Turbine model used in Lotro. This is by far the best free to play model out there for an mmo; if not counting Guild wars style of purchase, which also works!

Am I the only one that started filling out the application form and then realised that it was just ridiculous? Fair enough, they want the most interested people signing up to test it and alert them of any bugs, etc but I really don't like the idea of joining the millions of fanboys begging to be chosen in their personal paragraph explaining why they are 'perfect for the role'. And so what if I don't have a guild website or if I've never tested a beta before, does that make me incapable of testing theirs?

I'd love to play it as I've always been a massive fan of the Elder Scrolls series but realistically, I work 40 hours a week and don't always feel like gorming out to a game when I get in and from the sounds of things it's only going to be people who can afford to play for 80 hours a week that they're going to be looking for. I doubt they're going to look for someone like me who can probably only put in a couple hours a night a few days a week. I guess I'll just wait for the real thing to come out.

To be honest they do need people like you testing it as well and giving feedback, since they have to have a game thats playable by those who can only put in a few hours a week, it would be stupid of them to assume that only hardcore players will be playing, yes, they will need more people who can put in considerable time to help test things in general, but they should also be including the casual people to make sure it does tempt them and get them to stay playing, they need feedback from all different types of players.

I know exactly what you mean, I started filling in because I am interested in the game and would love to see it in action, but the amount of information they are asking for is a bit much imo, so jacked it in and will wait for release.

I also found myself remembering that woeful WoW Mists Beta with 100's of toons surrounding a quest giver and swamping the servers..... that one lasted all of 10 minutes before it got kicked into touch :)

Exactly, I know that beta's can end up being quite messy in terms of bugs and crowding. For a player like me it's probably best to wait for the finished product. I haven't really played much Skyrim on my PC as I'd abused it on my xbox so I may just go back to play that now and figure out how to get the mods I want as I haven't tried yet. Also as embarrassing as it is I only remembered there's a cheat console built into the PC version which I've never played with... That should keep me occupied for a while :D
