The Big Fat Giveaway of the Year 2025

We love you Ukraine
It’s been another crazy year for us, and not in a good way. Mrs C broke her ankle in two places so needed a fair bit of recovery time and physio.

Then she managed to ruin a planned week of annual leave by getting appendicitis and having to have surgery to whip the offending organ out. And whilst she was in for that they did a CT and found a malignant tumour.

So we’ve been through the cancer journey and she’s recently had a huge operation alongside the other treatments (I managed to get her home on xmas eve, thank god). Due a scan and some bloods next month and we’re hoping that she’ll get the all clear. Fingers crossed, eh?

So that’s why I’ve been absent for the best part of the year. As well as holding down a full time job I’ve been a nurse, a cook, a cleaner and solo parenting the boy. We thought 2024 wouldn’t be as bad as 2023 but it turns out we were on the darkest timeline. Roll on 2025, we’re coming out fighting 🥊
We’ve missed you, really holding everything crossed for Mrs C, please pass on best wishes.

That is some year. I wish you both all the best and hope 2025 is far more positive for you.

I am so glad you're back!
And I am so sad about what happened to you and your family, but I hope everything will be better for this year.
I cannot really translate my thoughts but I really wish you the best.

A new month, some new games. This is one of the bigger months in terms of my offerings as you'll see below:

Griftlands
My Little Universe
Tales & Tactics
Total War: PHARAOH DYNASTIES
Trepang2

To be honest, I lack the patience for the Total War games these days, so if anybody wants this spin off game, it's all yours!

Trepang2 is a fun shooter that I played the demo of while I was on a mission to shrink down my wishlist last year and while it was fun, I lack the reflexes to be any good at this kind of shooter.

I feel you there. I sooooo want to like them but they just don’t click with me and I haven’t got the free time or the dedication / inclination to master the many skills needed to fully enjoy them.

It’s Partial War at best from my end.

If anyone has a steering wheel to game on I would highly recommend Euro Truck Simulator 2.

I don't play it often, but when I do it's not to game..... it's genuinely therapy :ROFLMAO:

@AccidentalDenz , I'd be very interested in Persona 5 Strikers please, if it's still available. Thanks once again for being so generous!
A good choice. This is a spin off game from the main Persona series. There's a Sega sale on Steam at the moment, so you'll be able to buy the DLC at a discount if interested.

I've had the key for a while without any interest, so I'll send it over now!

I used to have the free time and dedication to play the games - I must have hundreds of hours (pre-Steam) on particularly Shogun and Medieval 2, but skimming through the games I've got on Steam, I've not put more than about 5 to 10 hours into any of them.

I have the first Euro Truck Simulator and got road rage, so never claimed the second key. I'm not a driver through, so driving is not therapeutic for me!

Last night was a gaming evening. Unfortunately it turned into a 3am gaming evening so now I'm completely burst.

Really enjoying the career mode in MSFS 2024, it's ridiculously stunning in flat panel too..... genuinely breath-taking.

I need to hash out some VR time on it though. It was crashing the other night so I just gave up. It's soooooo buggy. Some of the things that happen in it are hilarious. Planes won't move etc, people outside the plane while you're flying walking towards it :ROFLMAO: The first mission I flew from a seated position outside of the plane itself. It's hilarious.
