Surely this is a mistake?

I just got the same email and my order went through at 14:04 on release date. I'm gonna see if I can find out whereabouts my order is in the queue as lots of people are saying their orders are being built/tested already. It is what it is, I suppose!
Got the same email, ordered mine at 14.06....... the waiting continues.... sigh

PCS blatantly know how many exactly how many units are coming in and when. They wouldn't be a successful company if they didn't. Endless emails saying 5 days, ignore that automate message, oh its 5 days again. JUST STOP SENDING THE AUTOMATED MESSAGE THEN. Pcspecialist can build you a pc but can't communicate simple information.

This is just patently incorrect - they have no idea what they will be allocated, along with every other retailer.

The estimates do seem to depend on who you speak to. One guy on another thread said he'd been told 3-5 weeks as of yesterday(ordered the same time as me) but I was told likely the end of next week as to when I can expect delivery (that was what the guy said to me yesterday)

Found this to be an interesting take on the current situation. Which would explain why companies PCS and competitors know as much as we know

Makes sense. Even without an NDA in place that tends to be the case as numbers are never going to be concrete until they actually land.

Just baffles me that they still advertising to 30 series on their website and not explaining the situation CLEARLY to the customer before purchasing.

For what it's worth, I spoke to someone via the chat this evening and was told they expect fresh stock of the 3080 next week.

I ordered my new PC on 17/9 @ 2:39pm and was told that I'm currently #276 in the queue. But I was also told that those numbers don't mean a lot.

Make what you will of that.

I take it this was the generic 3080?

Agreed on that front. It would be interesting to find out if they are taking pre orders still. And what someone who ordered today is being told. Are they still saying the same thing today as 3 weeks ago?

They will still be taking pre orders, I’m not sure why anyone would be overly surprised by this.

I say that because for example, You can go and preorder from a number of online stores too as well as local PC shops (certainly near me anyway)

Your mileage may vary as to how quick you’ll get the order though.

I would expect people will be told they don’t have an eta for the cards at this time and their PC will be delayed because of it. Of course I don’t know that for sure.

Be careful of feeding the trolls, have you not heard that phrase? It's a natural tendency to be drawn to negativity, it takes strength and power to remain with reason and educated rationale.

Every shop in the world is still taking orders for the cards, and they're all getting dribs and drabs of stocks, seriously, you only have to google it. And while you're at it, check out what the 1000 series and 2000 series were like. Educate yourself, come out armed.

Sorry yes of course pre orders if they are open ended

Interesting to find out what they are saying now with selling systems. They are advertising a number of new ones so they must think this can get r4esolved pretty quickly.
