You've really got to search for some of these deals as they arent on the daily, flash or voted sections...just are 50% etc off...damn you Steam for involving effort when taking my money!

Duders.... if a game appears in one of the deal sections, for instance; flash deals @50% off, could it still appear in say the daily deals at 75% off?

Technically yes

75% (sometimes 80%) is the lowest and can appear at any point.

You just have to work out if you really want it so that the 50% is still a good deal. If it does drop, so be it, but for the sake of a few quid, thats ok, because you wanted it.

I keep picking up cheap ass games at 75% off for a couple of quid that i might never play, but meh, doesnt feel too much when its less than the cost of a large steak pasty :D

Thanks DeadEyeD :) The games I'm looking to get reasonably cheap in the sale are CS GO, Black OPS 2 and possibly Arma II for Day Z

I saw Black Ops 2 at 50% off, but steam is saying the non-discounted price is £39.99. Having seen the game myself and played through bits, I wouldn't really even pay to get it at the 50% off.

Just Cause 2 for £1.99... at that price it seems like a ridiculous question as I should just buy it anyhow, but if I buy anything because it costs peanuts it will soon add up. Has anyone played it? Is it actually fun?

You will get fun for lots of hours.

Tomb Raider is decent, but it did also seem a bit short to me, though the change of pace in how you play the game is great, and the multiplayer deathmatches can be quite entertaining.

I'm not all that far in the Witcher 2 yet, but I think it's been fairly good to now. It seems quite hack and slash at first, but a bit further in I've found some fights do need to be approached more tactically, and require preparation to use certain attack and defensive methods.

I thought the Witcher 2 was pretty good, definitely worth £3.74. It has a lot of in-game choices a-la Mass Effect that affect the outcome of the story and not immediate. E.g you may choose to save or kill a specific npc and you wont know the consequences of those choices until like half an hour later. Combat is like a less precise version of Dark Souls Combat but still fun non the less.

AoE2 was one of my all time favourite RTS games of old - the other one being C&C Tiberium Sun. If you are looking for good old fashioned base building and conquer you really cant go wrong with AoE2 as back in the day it was hailed as one of the best (if not the best) in genre.
