Startup problem (no screen found) on brand new PC

Hi,

Just got the PC delivered but we doesn´t get it to start up properly. All the fans are spinning (chassi, CPU and GPU) at start up, but the monitor doesn´t seem to get any signal. We tried it with both DP and HDMI without success, but the monitor works fine with another PC. The new mouse and keyboard doesn´t light up (however one other mouse partly lights up when connected to USB, and fully light up with a USB-adapter to the round mouse port) when connected to USB ports. If I connect a smartphone to the USB-ports the phone is charging.

Any suggestions on what might be the problem that I can check, before I contact PCSPECIALIST on monday?

Kind regards,

Erik

can you please list your spec & did you buy it with windows

Actually, my father-in-law bought it for my son (devastated when it won't start...) but I got these specs (sorry for Swedish but I guess you recognize) from the dealer. Win 10 Home should be included.

Are you definitely connecting via the GPU and not the Motherboard?

Although from what I can see that CPU does have integrated graphics so it should work either way. Another option would be to connect direct to the Motherboard to see if the integrated graphics work. If they do and you get a signal direct via the Motherboard then the GPU may be faulty or have come loose in transit so if you felt comfortable you could open the PC up and reseat it.

We´ve tried both. There is a HDMI on the motherboard that was plugged but we tried it anyway. Also the integrated VGA we tried with another screen, but no success.

Have you tried ensuring that everything is seated correctly within the case? It might be worth checking the GPU and RAM are seated correctly and that any power cables are properly plugged in.

This.

Stuff does move in transit, so pop out the RAM sticks and reseat them fully. Pop out the graphics card (and all other PCIe cards) and reseat them fully. Also remove the M.2 SSD and reseat that fully. Also check all cables and connectors, especially those plugging in to the motherboard.

Be sure to ground yourself before touching anything inside. If you're in any doubt about whether you're grounded get yourself an ESD strap.
