Your connection is still about 10x faster than mine, I am sure you will survive :)

What are you using to connect your old Compaq to the internet? Is it a wireless card or is it Ethernet cabled?

I don't know about the ins and outs of iPhones but I would assume the built-in wifi adapters would be pretty decent due to the dependence a phone has on being connected in all areas of the house, etc.

Also my wireless mouse and keyboard dont respond correctly quite often..

Do you think i should put the usbs on the front panel?

You could do but it shouldn't make any difference really. Chances are the keyboard/mouse has a power saving feature and that is what's causing the occasional interference. Just a guess though.

Can't hurt to try, which mouse and keyboard did you choose? If it only has a small stubby receiver then it might be struggling to detect a signal from the back of your rig.

Yea pretty much, brand new estate in Malvern (about 2 years old), they didn't decide to install fibre optic before they built all the houses. Now we're pretty much one of the only estates in my town not to have it, even the surrounding 'rough' estates are on like 25mbs.

Apparently Worcestershire was one of the last counties to get fibre optic anyway ><

Please, save your sympathies, I would still run circles around you on an FPS :)

Doesn't effect me in the slightest apart from download speeds and watching videos online which I don't do much of anyway. Just frustrating seeing somebody moan about 'only' having 20mbs ;)

Aye, for stuff like online gaming its not really the speed that matters, its the stability of the connection :)

hmmmmm ive moved the keyboard usb to the front now and the keyboard is good but the mouse is playing up hahahahahaa....

I have my desk and PC set up on the deck in the garden.

Saves having any of those pesky walls in the way of my wireless signal.

Your k&m thing isn't to do with USB 2.0 and 3.0 is it? Some older devices play up when plugged into 3.0 ports. You should be able to find which is which in your manual in the welcome pack. Just an idea. Sorry if this has come up, just noticed the thread, too lazy to read all those replies :)

Thats a very good point...
It seems like the front are 3.0
And the back are 2.0
Loooooool nicely pointed out... Solved the mystery..
