Spec for streaming/ High def gaming

Hi, I'm looking for some advice regarding this spec I have put together. I'm switching from console to PC gaming so I know very little about PC's.

Ill add a list of games im interested in playing and if someone would be kind enough to take the time to check out the specs and see if its good enough or needs any components switching I would appreciate the help. I'm not overly fussed about 4k but I would like to run my games on the hugest possible settings that the hardware could handle safely. Thank you

Games

Cyberpunk
Star citizen
Dead space trilogy
The division 1 and 2
The witcher
Skyrim
Space engineers
ARMA
Swat

i assume and i maybe wrong but i think that cyberpunk is probably the most demanding game hardware wise so ive tried to build a spec to play the game in comfort. Also I do stream games and stuff so again just need to figure out if the specs can handle both and at the same time.

What's the budget, and can you provide the configuration link, as these needs a load of work on it, case, motherboard, storage, memory, psu, cooling, wifi card, anti virus, to name a few

Ah, looks like you're on the Office PC Configurator which is limiting in a lot of areas. I'll whip you something up on the AM4 confgurator, and I'll add the Intel option as well.

I would be aiming for 1440p with this sort of budget, hence the 3060ti. Sadly PCS seem to be out of the VG27AQ which was a solid 1440p option available on the configurator, so I would recommend sourcing an IPS display such as the Gigabyte M27Q or the Asus VG27AQ which can be had for £300.

We've got the 8 core 5700x or the 6+4 core 12600k as your CPU choices, which will both be useful for streaming over their base 6 core options the 5600x and 12400 respectively.
Upped the RAM to 3200mhz which is arguably the best price to performance RAM speed, especially with Ryzen CPUs.
Added a faster primary drive, and another m.2 drive for your games. With direct storage games will be starting to be better optimised to run off faster drives, so loading games off an m.2 is worth investing in now.

Cooling is appropriate to each CPU, Intel's CPUs are a little hotter so need slightly better cooling.
850W PSU is really the minimum these days, as to keep playing the newest titles down the line you'll need a GPU upgrade in a few years and future generations are forecast to be incredibly power hungry.

You've selected quite a large amount of peripherals which is less of my forte, but if you're happy with the build first and foremost we can look at peripherals afterwards.

Any questions you have please ask! :)

Thank you Mr Wilson for your spec guides. Greatly appreciated ill check them out properly first thing tomorrow as it's getting late for me now. Thanks again

Back again with another "I haven't got a clue" spec list. So after a discussion with my better half we can comfortably for the time being afford a pc for around £60 per month on finance.

I've put together this list, if anyone could check it out and let me know any problems, anything you would change ect. I will be using the pc for streaming/ gaming. I will have a little room to improve in about 2 month where we can potentially put aside £90-£100 on. I am coming into pc gaming complete from scratch but will be using my TV till I can get a decent monitor which will be soon so I just need the ASUS bundle to start me off.

So what's the actual budget, basically what does the bottom line equate to at that monthly budget, also what's the speed of the tv and what monitor you thinking of getting down the line

Hey Martin. I'd say all in I am looking for something within the £2k-2.5k range that includes monitor ect. I have been keeping my eye on the Asus VG27AQ as recommended by MrWilson for my future monitor. Im unusre of the speed of my tv but will have a look once i get the kids to bed. I do have a little playing room of around £250-300 but if I can save some money and still have something that performs then I'd happy.

@Jay88lynch , cheers, know the actual budget makes things easier, can you also provide the configuration link for the above spec, makes it far easier to tweak

OK so after annoying my partner by constantly messing round with builds ect we have looked into the bundles offered by PCS.

Has anyone had one of these previously? I know the pic shows monitor ect is included but when I go onto the models nothing is included so the price I am seeing is I assume just for the tower itself.

I hope that makes sense if anyone could help

Do you have a link to what you're referring to?

So for example. I click on the first option. Its only pricing for the tower I assumed
On any configurator it includes a section for keyboards and mice and monitors, so it's a normal part of the section.

But depending on your specs, we would normally not recommend a pre built as they tend to lack in important areas of the platform to save cost so aren't as upgradeable.

Also, the monitor selection PCS stock isn't that great as you move up resolutions, so we would normally recommend buying elsewhere.
