What would you say the taste is like ? Im genuinely intrigued by salt beef looks a little like cornbeefTonight I though I’d slice up the meaty hero and see how well he held together.

Admirably!
It’s essentially the same thing, salt beef is what old school corned beef was. Nothing like the mushy stuff you get in a can (although I do have a soft spot for that stuff too). It’s also the same as pastrami, that is just smoked and given a layer of spice after the brining. What would you say the taste is like ? OMG that looks absolutely amazing!Talking of sandwiches… this is what I had for my tea tonight. Fresh baguette, Russian dressing, sauerkraut, lettuce, sliced gherkins, French’s mustard, the beef and two slices of emmental cheese, lightly grilled. The cheese obscured most of the other ingredients so it’s not the best pic.

I was hoping to find some kind of pretzel style bun for the full Reuben effect but Morrisons let me down. It was still dang tasty though 😁👍OMG that looks absolutely amazing!

I’m an ex-chef and I’m somewhat obsessive (just in case that wasn’t common knowledge 😶). I even cable manage my spaghetti.@AgentCooper, do you clean up your kitchen before you take these photos? Or do you perhaps live in a kitchen showroom? There are no crumbs, bits of last week's dinner, dirty mugs, knives etc. in any of your photos. And everything is stored nice and neat and tidily - that's just not normal! 😮
I just want to say : Pics or it does not existI’m an ex-chef and I’m somewhat obsessive (just in case that wasn’t common knowledge 😶). I even cable manage my spaghetti.
You are probably like an ex-colleague of mine. After eating a rack of ribs, he had to arrange the bones facing the same way and in size order.I’m an ex-chef and I’m somewhat obsessive (just in case that wasn’t common knowledge 😶). I even cable manage my spaghetti.
