RTX 3080

My story started on 17th Feb 2021 where I put together a 2k budget VR gaming build, which Agent Cooper was kind enough to do some tweaking on. My order was finally placed on 5th April. In the time since I have gone through various stages of joy, disappointment, anguish, regret, denial and nervous anticipation for my new PC. In that time I have made a few upgrades along the way and thanks to these forums, Agent Coopers and many others very helpful advice and suggestions, I have put together a great looking system. Also the extra time allowed me to 'expand' the budget a bit!

And now after 81 working days the finish is in sight:

Now my theory is that after a constant barrage of upgrades, PC Specialists were worried if much more time passes they would end up building me a super computer, such as the one in Superman III or the one they Gary and Wyatt connected to in Weird Science to assist in building a real life woman (love Kelly LeBrock in that!).

These Forums and especially this post have keep me going, pushed thoughts of cancelling out of my mind and kept me focused on the end goal. I was looking forward to my cake but I can honestly say that I am happy to pass it to the poor soul (I imagine a ROG Strix 3080 soul).

I would like to thank Agent Cooper, Scott, StevyG and all the forum members. I would also like to thank PC Specialist for their great communication and for allowing all my upgrades along the way. I would also like to thanks my Mum, the little baby Jesus (or maybe baby Grogo even) and all the Marvel films I have watched during my long 81 working days wait.

There was a spare pair of SSD to MB cables which I found but now struggling to get the pc to find the 2tb HDD that came preinstalled, my SSD and HDD that I put in and ok, and when I look in disk management the 2tb hdd it isnt there but in system information under disks it is? Any clues how I get that working? Also RGB fans dont appear to be working? Cooler and its fans is but not the additional fans

My rear fan doesn't work, which is a pain. Seems like there's been a few QA issues.

I think I could have caused my RGB issue when I puit the HDD and SSDs in (possibly) and a cable got diconnected. The help I got from PC Specialist was great, thanks again @JakAttack, and my machine is up and running in perfect order noq and I am one happy bunny I will post some pics in the appropriate thread soon

Nope, regular 3080, I'm pretty sure the average waiting period for the ASUS STRIX model is around 150 working days judging from its thread.

It arrived yesterday but I’ve been sent away by work for 12 long days!! Aww well. Waited four months. What’s another couple weeks 😂 gives me time for a desk to arrive to get this set up in its glory.

It arrived yesterday! Haven't had a chance to really test out the GPU yet but firing up RTX Minecraft was pretty cool. Think I may go for an RGB exhaust fan at some point but until then I'm gonna carry on tweaking profiles in iCue.
