Received delivery from DPD this morning.

Frankly disgusted.

Guy just dragged it off the back of the van, where it had been put sideways (even though the box CLEARLY shows the arrow for the direction it should be kept, and the glass fragile logo)

Carried it, again, sideways to my door, and was about to just dump it down, until I reach out and stopped him.

Was also about to walk away with letting me log it as "unchecked".

Opened the main box, to find loose screws and brackets all over. (Glass corsair obsidian case!!!)

The smaller package inside which is supposed to contain documentation and extra fittings, was just scrushed, hence why screws and bits all over.

I'm also, very surprised to find, that having checked all the documentation that came with the system, I have not received any packaging or more importantly, any documentation for my 3080 gpu.

The state of the delivery is extremely frustrating, when I've stated prior to dispatch (both here, and over the telephone to pcspecialists) that I live only 30 minutes from the base of operations.

I could have collected the system last Friday in person and avoided having to deal with DPD altogether.

Oh... and STILL waiting for the promo codes that were supposed to come with the system.

I thought pre production was a hard wait it’s actually the in building message that’s driving me crazy. It’s been in building since the 8th I’m not sure why it’s taking so long

Call PCS asap, they will get it sorted as fast as they can, may be useful to take some pictures before ringing just so you've can send them over immediately if they want them - if you want to start a separate thread about it you are welcome to. - this thread may not be the best place for DPD problems though

You wont get packaging (retailer or OEM) for the 3080 or any of the components but will get documentation that comes with them (though it may be minimal for some of the components)

I do apologise for having a little rant here.

Definately not the right place for it, I can appreciate that.

Went all keyboard warrior for a moment.

I'm certainly raising it with pcs themselves.

Wasn't completely sure if id get packaging with the gpu, but yeah, like you say, I would have expected some documentation for it, with the price tag.

All the very best for everyone else who's managed to wait it out.

And thnx for the patience of other forum users here, with this grumpy over 40. 🤗

When I say 75th, that’s for the build queue not for a 3080 as luckily they have assigned me a 3080 from the delivery that came in last week (although I think it was only 10 cards). The next delivery on their system is due for the 16th. So you may be above 75th in the queue to be assigned a 3080 if you are 100+ days, but you’d have to ask the PCS guys about that. After you’ve been assigned all your parts you join the build backlog, this is the queue I’m 75th in currently.
