And thanks to this thread, a nail biting teeth grinding bottom lip chewing frustrating wait with no comfort has evolved into a total Zen experience where I feel one of the fraternal many, not a tekkie version of the Ancient Mariner (for Albatross read 3080)

60 day gang rise up.

thanks for this thread guys, honestly if there werent another handful of nutters like me who ordered a brand spanking new gaming pc in the middle of the biggest silicon shortage in history I'd definitely have pulled out by now

diamond hands lads

Roll call and first post all in one, hopefully i'm in the home straight now! Ive got a i7 and 3080. With that combo I hope it moves into building soon-ish!

Dunno why I'm reading through this thread every day it's just making me depressed haha..
Though when I called them up last week they said they were expecting stock to get better mid-march/april so I'm expecting mine perhaps may/june?
Lol I'm doing the exact same. 8 working days. 5950x/3080 too. Would be amazing if we got it in around May cause I'm moving on the 26th of May. Best of luck to all 😃

The global shortage is actually getting worse day by day and will likely continue untill 2022. And I'm referring at a production level, PCS is even in a worse situation due to reasonable delays (obviously they don't produce their own gpus)

Yeah that's what I figure. Luckily I'm not in any particular rush. My only worry is that nvidia will release/announce the 3080Ti before my regular one even arrives

It’s great to see that there is some slight movement for people registered on the forum but again what we don’t know is the outstanding numbers for customers who have never registered for the forum. Could be 100 orders outstanding, could be 1000 and that’s the worst bit.

I think the only silver lining to if that happens is that at least a 3080 may actually be available if that happened, and then the 3080 TI wouldn’t be available til the 40 series haha

I'm not sure how to quote a post from a month ago but in this post (https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/rtx-3080.73216/page-206#post-566003) they mentioned an email they got from PCS on the 1st of Feb saying they had 1594 orders placed with a 3080 and had only gotten 236 since december. Extrapolating that from mid-september which is when the cards came out I'm going to estimate there's probably just under 2000 people in the queue at the minute

So my PC was marked at dispatched yesterday afternoon, DPD sent a confirmation email saying it would be delivered 3rd March. However, from the tracking, it shows no movement from PCS so I don’t think DPD have even collected it yet. After waiting 96 (working) days, this is most impatient I have felt for that 3080!
Still not collected today! I had to call PCS as I was concerned that maybe the tracking wasn't working etc. They confirmed it still hadn't been collected by DPD and should "hopefully" be collected tomorrow. What a tease.

Yeah I remember that post the uncertainty is how many did they get in January and February, how many have cancelled, how many have changed their orders etc. As I said we have the same few posters quoting how many days they’ve been waiting but there’s not been 1594 separate posters all saying the same thing.

So we can all make guesses.

Production has to ramp up but unfortunately crypto mining farms seem to be first in the queue for this card, not with PCS I must stress. You can do your own homework but some of the pictures are shocking of ‘set ups’ they’ve got. Hundreds upon hundreds of 3080s.

Well, after 79 working days waiting (and spending way too long spent in discord alert groups), I finally (somehow) managed to grab a 3080 from Scan, so that's another one out of the 3080 queue for you guys. I wish you all the best of luck, and enjoy your systems when you eventually get your hands on them. It's been probably unhealthy, but somewhat comforting heading to this thread every day to read through everyone's posts. I feel like we could all be lifelong friends having been on this wild ride together!

Just out of curiosity, did you cancel your PCS order completely or did you just amend it to build without the 3080?
