Yeah thats all I'm doing now, hoping week by week, month by month that it'll turn up one day 🤣 had the whole of December off work so hoped it would've come then but now I guess it makes going back to work easier hoping it'll be here.

Without sounding rude I don't believe a word anyone says or has been told as it is totally unpredictable. I've been told and read multiple things and almost none have been correct 🤣

So, if I may go very quickly off thread. What is the deal with the 5900x cpus? Are they as hard to come by as the 3080s? I have both in my recently ordered build.
I'm going to search high and low for a 3080 ( I have nothing else to do of late) but I wondered if I took out the 3080 when would the 5900x come in,.

The point is no one knows when stocks will hit, there is zero reliable information from any source. Even if PCS tell you a specific date, there's no certainty that they will be delivered then. That's the whole point about this situation, promised shipments are either not arriving, or shipments are arriving with no warning, they're just being sent when available, that's why PCS aren't able to give any accurate estimates.

Don't rely on any information heard by anyone. Just sit back and wait patiently.

Exactly what I've learnt to do! No point clogging up the phone lines as you could be told something and its more then likely not going to happen, not at pcspecialist fault which then makes you want to ring up again and complain and your really only winding yourself up and wasting both party's time😀

Yeah I am just waiting patiently, but don’t want people to think that suddenly orders will start being fulfilled now that were in the new year.

Does anyone know which model of Asus Rog Strix RTX 3080 is PCS using in their builds, is it the OC or NON-OC?

Thinking of switching to 3090, has anyone done this and has it sped up time to delivery?
I changed from 3080 to 3090 on the 23rd of Dec. Got an email on the 28th to confirm the change(said they were in stock) but they also said in the same email that they’re now only waiting for the CPU(5800x) but they have no ETA. Was on something around day 33 when I changed.

Keep in mind though they were shut as of 1pm on the 24th, shut 25th, 26th, open for a few days and have been shut since 31st until tomorrow according to their Xmas opening hours. Really hoping this means come tomorrow they’ll go back to normal working hours and things will start moving quicker, especially since the CPUs seem readily available in most major retailers in large quantities.

hmmm dont rely on any information heard from anyone, not even PCS themselves :ROFLMAO: Wouldnt that be classed as false information then? so basically what your saying is that PCS staff downright lie to there customers. Wow, now I've heard it all... sit and wait patiently :unsure: I would say most people have done that who like myself are over 60 days now. I waited patiently on your absolute joke of a call line for the best part of nearly 3 hours to be told mid-January which you are basically saying is not true (y) So lets put this all into context, Your call waiting time is beyond horrific, your live chat absolutely sucks too, combine that with the broken communication and false emails, now you're saying your own staff lie to there customers and give them incorrect information. Terrible company one of the worse I've dealt with will not recommend or will I ever use you again... at this point, I'm losing my patients like many others on here who are just too afraid to say anything on the matter. I will wait this month but if I'm still waiting after that I will cancel my order and look elsewhere.. cause to put it politely im kinda over this at this point, not worth my time or my money.

You do realise that the moderators on this forum are not staff members and any time they spend on here is there own personal time.

It’s not that they lie to their customers it is that they don’t always know what or how many components they will receive until they actually physically receive the components. This isn’t a usual thing for them, but due to the shortages this is unfortunately the situation they are having to deal with.

Any complaints you have should be made to PCSpecialist.

There’s nothing stopping you removing the 3080 from your order and trying to source your own from elsewhere, or as you’ve said cancel your entire order, but if you do, good luck trying to get a custom build any quicker from elsewhere.

As i said i will wait untill the end of the month before cancelling... Editing my post as well due to some swear words i find sad like are we all 3 year olds on this forum? find it funny aswell you didnt reply to my comment, you said they was lieing to customers and you expect us not to get mad.. pretty poor moderator in my opinion. at first i thought you worked for them but now i know you dont so why are you talking utter nonsense? about stuff you have no involement in or know anything about personally as you dont work for them you simply work a forum for free talking dribble.

I’m solely here to get people the best value for money, the best working system and keep the forums a clean and positive place for the varying ages and cultures that frequent it.

Unfortunately, we are all in the same boat here. of course, it sucks but there really isn't much that can be done except just wait. I'm 61 days myself I understand it's frustrating but speaking like that to someone who gives there free time on here to help isn't going to do you any favours nor will it get you anywhere in general. The world is gone to s*** and it probably won't get any better anytime soon. I was told the same thing about mid-late Jan... but you take what is said with a pinch of salt cause ultimately no one really knows.

We would all like our cards in the next week or two but taking into consideration what's happening in the world it's probably not going to be the case. Hang in there, you've made it this far be kinda silly to cancel now, after all, you'll have a hard task getting a build you want somewhere else any sooner.
