When i last called PCSPECIALIST - they told me that the strix might take longer as its from one supplier as oppose to the normal 3080 which has multiple distributors providing them with a card. I originally chose the 3080 strix but opted in for the 3090 instead as there are fewer demands due to the higher price (Just based on my call, but can't promise you'll get 3090 quicker). So fingers crossed that most people get their PC before Xmas if you've ordered earlier. For those who ordered later, there is a chance you'll see it in the new year.

Less orders for the 3080 strix I would think though.
I ordered on 24th September with a 3080 strix and my PC is being delivered 🤞 on Monday

Yes it seems ages since we all ordered them but everyone should stick with it and you will have your PC's soon.

This time last week I was down in the dumps thinking it wouldnt arrive until next year, but within a few days things got moving and moving fast.
So anyone still waiting just make sure you are ready for your PC to be delivered and not like me with no monitor yet and my custom desk I'm building not ready either:LOL:

Yes Agreed! I only switched to the 3090 as i had the budget for it and i do a lot of architectural visualisation for work so i needed that extra power.

I am in no rush for mine as deadlines are keeping my mind off it. Find something that will help speed up time :).

My PC Specialist 1060 laptop is still managing haha but its slow for renders especially for CUDA based like VRAY. So excited for my new PC...

By the way I had no issues changing from 10900K to the 5900X CPU with motherboard.

Needed to make a call to do it, but it was was a piece of poodle…. Even on half finance (was still in pre-build). Helpful chap needed to get it authorised and that took a day. Thats all.
So a silver lining to the 3080 delay from my point of view...phew!! I would of been gutted with the 10900K!!

Are people still waiting for the nvidia RTX 3080 from the day of release or has it now moved on? I ordered on the 15th of October and I’m doubtful I’ll get it this year now

I ordered Asus ROG Strix 3080 build on the 22nd of September, and I just want to know why some people are receiving theirs before me although they ordered at a later date...

My order was made on 29/09 at 10.23
39 working days now feels like such a long time i placed this order.....
Im HOPING i get it before Christmas .
Im wondering if they have done all release date orders now ?

I ordered on the 24th September with a 3080 Strix but with a liquid series build. The GPU water block wasnt available until mid November which was the same time ASUS and EK released the 3080 with preinstalled water blocks so perhaps mine will have one of those, no idea to be honest, probably wont as it wasnt an option when buying but the date did coincide with my order moving along.
Will let you know on Monday when/if it arrives.
You shouldnt be far off getting yours, is everything else in stock that you know of? the 850rmx PSU's are out until the 27th I know that.

The thing is when asking if my GPU would arrive before the PSU comes back in stock, they said, no.

I dont know about Ryzen 9 5900X, but everything else should be in stock.

I have the ROG STRIX 3080 on order from 10am on 20th September and my computer is still in pre-production.

But it'a more of the fact that people earlier than me has not got theirs into building. But someone later than me has.

And the person I talked to said, I wouldnt be allocated a 3080 before the 27th (when my PSU comes back in stock).

It’s not just about the GPU, it’s about the entire build, there are like 25 components going into these. You have no idea what other people have ordered. A lot of stocks are low, it’s not sensible to compare yourself against someone else just because they ordered after you.

If that's what they said then this is why some who ordered after you are getting their PC's into build/testing etc. because maybe their PSU is in stock.
Like Spyder says, it isnt just the GPU people are waiting on, its whole builds. If someone's build has all parts in stock then they may as well build it, otherwise the queue will just get even longer and PC's won't be being built.

Well I've checked multiple times if everything is in stock apart from the asus 3080 and all has been and I orderd on the 21st september going on 45 working days so not sure what's gone on there
