43 working days on and still waiting. Ordered at 20:00 on the 20/09. Like so many others i have been through the excited to absolutely raging back to not really caring now. I feel like it will be so anti climatic when I get it now because I have been building it up in my head soo much.

This is it really, it's just about managing expectations.

This is the first time I've spent such a large amount of money on a piece of gaming equipment, and it's difficult to come to terms with seeing that much cash disappear from your bank account, just to enter into a long wait.

I ordered a build with a 3070 and even though the wait will apparently be less for that over a 3080, I'm still prepping myself for 30-50 days of pre-production going by what I'm reading across the forums.

So I've gone from overly excited, to worried I won't get it by Christmas to just kinda feeling meh I guess.... better to lower expectations sooner rather than later. Check the forum once a day, see how orders are processing then log off and forget about it until tomorrow.

Well as I typed my message on here my PC has gone into testing.
What cpu mate ?? And when did you order if you don’t mind me asking ? I’ve emailed them but haven’t got back to me
It’s torture not knowing or having an estimate, I’ve had to change fans, psu due to no stock and now my case has disappeared from configuration screen,
I’m 44 days pre production and ordered at 1600 with 3080, although changed cpu to 5900x

Emails are rarely answered quickly at the best of times, I would imagine it's worse at the moment. You can try Live Chat or suffer the wait on the phone.

I'd be amazed if that's true. You've thrown down a lot of money for something. That doesn't sound like someone that doesn't care.

When it arrives, you'll be like a kid at Christmas, and rightly so!

What i mean is i have lost interest hoping that today will be the day. You are right I will likely get the excitement back when I get the notification when it goes into building.

Just out of interest, did anyone on here order a build with a standard RTX3080 between 17th September 22:42 (Voeille) and 18th September 11:31?

5900x which I changed to on launch day. 3080 strix in a liquid series build. I ordered on the 24th September.

good news for strix orders, maybe if strix models keep coming in at a steady pace, they can push through faster than non-strix, seems like strix is a bit in front now

If anyone wants a 3090 FE you can get one right now (at MSRP). They've been available for over 3 hours now so I can only assume the 3090 hype is dying down lol

I will probably be excited even by Windows booting, I've never even had a regular SSD and now I'm moving to Samsung 980 Pro M.2 drive, it's going to be a huge difference.

I don't think much can be happening in the awaiting dispatch stage, so maybe tomorrow or Friday is the day. I'm glad I still got 5 days of leave to use.

you won't really see the windows booting up :) just a short flash of bios and the welcome screen

Did you go for a PCS drive?

I don’t even get a Bios flash screen, it button press, fans on and then pretty much windows screen.

;)
I did opt for a PCS m.2 in my current build i'm awaiting, but in my lenovo laptop I have a 970 EVO m.2, I just see Lenovo logo for a 1-2sec and then the welcome screen, but only if i'm looking hard enough

Windows boots in about 7 seconds on my new machine. Bit different from what I'm used to!

Despite showing as awaiting dispatch on the order page, I also got a DPD email with an estimated delivery date of Friday, and curiously this email from PCS too:
The following items were out of stock at the time your order was dispatched, and will follow on shortly:

PCSpecialist Welcome Book - United Kingdom & Republic of Ireland

We will send you an email as soon as these items are dispatched.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Kind Regards

PC Specialist Ltd

Looks like nothing can avoid stock issues these days...

Better than not receiving the pc. How long did you wait? I just upgraded to a 3090 from the strix 3080.

Just found it funny that apparently they ran out of welcome books too, perhaps it's related to the missing stickers issue from a while ago that pushed everyone's order date to 25th of November and they had to resend the automated emails to correct this.

I waited 2 months as I'm still from the release day.

Perhaps Nvidia produce the welcome books as well? [emoji848]
