RTX 3070 Frequent Black screens

Hi,

I got my new PC on Friday, and have been getting brief but frequent black screens. These occur mostly when in games, however have occured on a few occasions when just using Chrome. The blackscreens can occur anywhere from a couple of minutes apart to not getting one for an hour or more.

When they happen, the screen goes black for around a second before coming back on, with the monitor informing me of the resolution, like the monitor has lost signal from the GPU. Audio to my headphones remains throughout.

When playing in VR (using Oculus link and an Oculus Quest 1), the display to the Headset was uninterrupted, however the monitor display was flickering constantly, failing to display the game for any longer than 10 seconds before going black for a second then coming back on.

I have updated motherboard chipset drivers from the AMD website, and have done a number of graphics driver udpates and reinstalls, including uninstalling using DDU and installing as recommended in this recent thread who seems to have a similar problem to me (https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/foru...screen-then-back-to-normal.78731/#post-571935).

I have tested all 3 display ports on the GPU, and both display ports on the monitor, with no change.

Monitor is a Gigabyte G34WQC. PC specs and log files are included below.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Thank you for your reply. I will post my issues in that thread. Would you recommend that I remove 2 of my sticks to see if that fixes the issue?

You can try that. Remove 2 of the sticks of RAM and try to use your PC again. Use it just how you always would, and get back to us if theres more black displays or not. If there isnt, then its unfortunately the same issue many others are experiencing with 4 RAM sticks paired with AMD CPUs.

Are you sure there isnt an issue with the monitor or monitor cable?
Seems strange that the headset is unaffected while the monitor still plays up. Would suggest its not the output from the machine, but whatever is displaying it (ie monitor)

The headset is running from USB C, I don't know if that would make any difference.
I will test with HDMI instead of display port to see if that helps at all, but the monitor had been running fine from my laptop until my PC arrived.
