Budget was meant to be £1250 so I'm already stretching it. I plan on getting a 1440p 144Hz monitor and want to play the latest games like Watch Dogs Legion and Cyberpunk 2077 at high/ultra settings.

The PSU is not the best. Change to the Enthusiast series. Change the Browser because Google is a RAM thief. Also, don't trust anyone selling Windows 10 for under 70 pounds. I can't say much unless you can stretch the budget a 150 pounds. If you can then I suggest this,

Why such a high end motherboard? A B550 seems fine and would support a 5000 series CPU if I wanted to upgrade. Also is it really worth the extra money for a gold PSU? I'm fine with bronze rated efficiency and the CV-650 seems like a common choice in mid-range builds.

I'd personally go for a big reshuffle... Why not the 3060Ti? It's perfect for 1440p 144Hz. That way you can shore up the rest of the build with a new Ryzen CPU, beefier power supply and make a system that'll last you 7-10 years with the right upgrade path...

I think my current config gives me upgradability to something like a Ryzen 7 5800x if I wanted to upgrade in a few years. The 5600x is good but I don't think 6 core architecture is that future-proof tbh especially with the new consoles having 8 cores and 16 threads and I don't think it would be of much benefit to the 3060 Ti which isn't bottlenecked by the 3600 (nor is the 3070). The RTX 3070 gives me the option of ray tracing at high settings with a 1440p resolution which the 3060 Ti can do but not as solidly at high framerates (especially in a demanding game like Watch Dogs Legion). Honestly both options seem good though. It's difficult building a system to be future proof especially with AMD planning to drop support for AM4 motherboards.
