Rs232 to hdmi

Hey guys I'm trying to connect 3 pcs through a KVM to a new BenQ monitor via a rs232 cable to Hdmi converter, but it's coming through distorted, any tips?
(The monitor works well with my other Mac laptop so that's not the issue)

Since these fora bong to PC Specialist we can't offer advice on other builds. You might try a more general forum like Tom's Hardware.

Also that would be VGA not RS232 - 15 pin on the former, 9 on the latter.
