RGB Controller

I wonder if anyone can tell me how to use rgb gfan controller.
My new pc was delivered on saturday and up to now everything is spot on.
But in the box of wires and stuff there was a remote and a wire for the rgb fans (3x PCS ARGB LED Fan + Controller Kit)
The remote gets no response so I'm guessing i need to install the cable somewhere?
I did download asus armoury which is fine, I can change the theme etc but the problem with that is when I reboot it defaults to a static colour and I have to open armoury every time to set the theme again.
I would appreciate any advice.

Normally there will be a tab preventing contact of the battery in the controller, or the battery will be removed, have you verified that's all sorted?

I pulled out the transparent plastic strip yes and there is a battery in it.
Can you post your full specs from the order page? If your mobo has an ARGB header they may well have synced the fans with that in which case you won't need the remote

That looks like the cable should be plugged in somewhere but I have no clue where...I think you might need to contact PCS direct for that

For overall control, I'd guess it depends on whether PCS replaced the Corsair fans (assuming you went with the 4000x) with the PCS fan kit or if the PCS kit was in addition. It is usually easier to run iCUE for Corsair cases I believe
If it's wired through the motherboard that wire wouldn't be required and you just use the motherboard RGB software, but without knowing the specs we can't tell.

If you install Armoury Crate, you should be able to control the RGB through that

That makes sense for the OPs issue with it.

Strange that you have to select that as an option...seems that 99% of programs these days automatically default to starting when Windows starts and you have to remove it from the start-up..hence why so many systems slow down over time as most people don't notice

I was surprised by this also. It's not the worst issue as Armoury Crate isn't the best in all honesty, not having it default to on is a bit of a blessing haha.
