Hello,
I was wondering what was everyone’s experience with pcspecialist’s RMA
?

I might send my laptop back to them for the 5th time due to multiple problems during the 4 previous rma and needless to say that I’m getting tired of it.

I haven’t been able to daily drive my laptop for 7 months now.

I do understand they might have very high volume of RMA but i don’t know if I’m been unlucky or if it’s something else.

Warranty 7,2 :
Subject to clause 7.3, goods found by us to be defective during the warranty period will be repaired or replaced with an item of an equal or better performance and equal or better value at the time a return material authorisation (“RMA”) is generated. All Products being returned under warranty must have been issued with a valid RMA number. Any goods received by us without a valid RMA number will be rejected and returned to sender.

Can we agree at this point that after 5 ( 6 soon ) RMA i can get this laptop replaced ????

Just so you know, none of us work for PCS, we have no tie with them other than moderating the forum.

You'd need to contact them for any help with refunds etc.

They don't monitor the forums. You'd need to contact customer services and ask for a refund I think
This laptop is too old for a refund, But i would, at least, want a replacement by a equivalent or even lower spec model as stated in their warranty stuff.
I just want a working laptop...

I'd be unhappy with that situation too. In your place I would phone PCS and calmly and politely argue your case for a replacement. I would argue that you have given PCS ample opportunity to repair the laptop and they haven't been able to do so - at least they haven't been able to give you a fully working laptop. I would suggest that even they must realise when it's time to stop kicking a dead horse. They should perhaps accept that this chassis and motherboard has a problem, and offer you a replacement.

A great deal depends on how you approach PCS. If you are argumentative and demanding, then PCS will dig their heels in. On the other hard, if you are calm, reasonable, and yet determined, and if you make a logical and detailed case, they may well decide that a replacement is the best way forward.
