I would strongly advise using the secondary. If you think of the drives as having individual lanes, if you use the primary drive for the OS and main programs only, you can then use the secondary drive independently for fast working drive access, cache, main storage etc. There are so many benefits It's entirely up to yourself of course but it's worth contemplating the reasoning.
