Reinstalling windows 7 - key for pre install only

I have owned my laptop from here for about 7 years now, its still going strong and does all I need but its getting a little clogged with windows

So I wanted to reinstall the windows 7 that its came preinstalled with, the key is on the bottom of the laptop but when putting this into the microsoft windows to download a copy it tells me that its for pre installs only and to contact the builder.

I somehow doubt pcspecialist have much in the way of older obsolete windows disks lying about so any advice on what I can do?

Go into the download area on your PCS account, you should be able to download it from there

No, never upgraded, the install thats on the system is the same one from the day it was built, this would be the first time doing a clean install
In that case the problem isikely because your copy of Windows 7 is OEM. AFAIK the official Microsoft download site you're using is for retail versions only.

Microsoft will likely send you back to the OEM vendor so in the first instance I would talk to PCS.
