Recommendations for Monitor to go with New PC Build

My new PC order is 4 days into it's build process (3rd machine from PCS over the years) and I'm looking at getting a new monitor to go with it. I'll be mainly using it for gaming and ideally I'd like a 4K monitor with 144hz refresh rate, around mid 30" to mid 40" display size, 1ms response time, IPS, & HDR. Not too bothered about internal speakers, as will be using headphones or a sound bar most of the time.

I'm prepared to spend up to £1,200 on the monitor if necessary and would appreciate any recommendations. The specs for my new pc are below: -

Godlike
If this hasn’t gone into build yet I would strongly recommend getting some advice on this. You’re on an old platform which is not only 3 gens old but wasn’t even great on arrival. I would recommend some storage edits too.
If you’re happy to let us know your budget and use cases for the PC we can spec you something that will get you much better bang for your buck.

In terms of 4k monitors, there isn’t really a mid ground with size. There are quite a few 32 inch options and then things jump up to 42+ inches.

If you’re happy with a larger screen the 42 inch LG C2 OLED is available for under £1200 at the moment, and could potentially drop even further over Black Friday.

You need to cancel this, seriously, you don't want this, it costs the earth for really poor performance.
