Maybe it's just me having a bad day but should a Tenda card be showing up as Realtek WLAN? I only ask as the device driver listed in a previous screenshot was the same as a Realtekl WI-Fi card, namely, the

As seen here:

Would this then not require a Realtek Driver like this:

the wifi card installation guide that came with my pc along with all the other paper does say the Tenda N300 and is the W322E so think its right? unless of course ive been given the wrong one?

No, it’s the right one, it’s a Realtek chipset as most are.

It’s like there are a million gpu manufacturers all using nvidia chips.

Should i just call tomorrow then? And speak to someone about it over the phone rather than back and fourth here? I’m still not really sure as to what it is, my signal has been a lot worse today too, only giving 2 bars all day. i’ve had 600ping when attempting to play any games, can’t really do anything.

Could be worth it. If they find out its a faulty card it might be worth seeing if you can upgrade to the Intel AX200 card instead. It's only £11 more and gives you better performance as well :)

We do seem to be getting pretty constant issues at the moment with that Wireless N card, it's just the realtek chipset, I'm guessing they haven't fully gotten around the windows issue yet.

If you can upgrade it to the AX200 it would be remarkably beneficial both for speeds and better wifi standard support, but also for reliability. We rarely see these kinds of issues on the Intel cards.

When you speak to PCS, explain the issues, they'll likely suggest a replacement card anyway, at that time, ask if they'd be able to upgrade it to the AX200, hopefully they can just ship it to you next day for you to fit rather than messing around. If you need any help installing it, we can talk you through, but being an Intel card, it's much better supported through windows updates, should be pretty much plug and play.

yeah i’ve seen a few posts on here.
would it improve everything? i’m getting 2 bars of single at the moment, i’m not sure what the actual issue is so i don’t know if changing the card, what it would make better/improve. i’m kinda a noob at all of this all i know is the speed is terrible due to something :D

ooouf i see :( i guess it’s just poopy then
The wifi card you've got is about 10 years old now, it's just not really a good option for a modern build.

It's wireless N which was the standard back in 2009. We're now on wifi 6.

So it's gone:

Wireless AX is the new current standard they refer to as Wifi 6 which is what the AX200 is.

To be fair Wi-fi is one of those things that people will only ever post about if they have issues so majority of people probably have no issues at all.

The main issue is that card only supports 2.4ghz, with more and more devices using wifi that channel can slow right up. The Intel card supports 5ghz as well and is Wi-fi 6 giving you a bit of future proofing. Not to mention it has Bluetooth as well. It’s a bargain for the extra £11 :)

Also twice the price of the PCS one (including the £20 off already)
Ring PCS, point them towards this thread and ask to replace the part, upgrading to the AX200/paying the extra £11.

Very possible you could have it within a couple of days.
