Realtek audio update breaks headphone jack port

Rcently I was prompted to update the drivers for Realtek Audio on my laptop. After the update the headphones don't work, they don't show up ANYWHERE in Device Manager (revealing hidden items and disconnected items only shows a bluetooth device, which is currently disconnected), they are "not supported" according to the Realtek software, etc., etc. I've tried rolling back to an older driver, rebooting, including rebooting with them plugged into the 3.5mm port, where they have "lived" ever since I bought this PC Specialist machine a couple of years ago, renaming them as "Headset", reverting to Windows 10 (since 11 also screwed up my printer/scanner), updating the driver again, and so forth ad nauseam, and NOTHING works. I did also phone PC Specialist Technical Support, but after waiting for that for four hours, I gave up. Help, please.

Can you post the full specs from the order page?

Where were you getting prompted to update drivers?

When you reverted to windows 10 did you do a clean install or an in place downgrade?
