So I would start with a clean install. There's a guide in the guide section, you want a full reinstall, not a windows reset

The guide looks different from the options I was given. I have tried a few other things suggested like turning off windows report etc. If it happens again I will come back here. Thanks for your help

I’ve tested everything I can in regards to the PC itself and it still flickers. Could this be a faulty DP cable or faulty monitor then?

It could be, this is what the process of troubleshooting entails, you work through leads that could be a cause to eliminate potentials and leave the source of the problem.

Troubleshooting is rarely knowing the answer straight away, you have to isolate the issue.

So far, we've ruled out software as an issue which then points to either cables, or the monitor itself.

I’ve reset the monitor. I purchased a new DP cable so I just need to wait

Update - Changed cables but issue still occurs after an hour or 3 hours. It varies, I have a new monitor to try coming tomorrow so I’ll update here when I have further info.

I haven’t yet. Currently doing it now.

Checked all cabling. Everything is good inside

So I bought a new monitor to replace the other one. It’s been good for a while and it’s more clear as to what happens as it’s just happened again.

The pc/monitor disconnects then reconnects to source. Therefore I have exhausted all troubleshooting unless there is anything else somebody can recommend?
