RAM Issue

One of my RAM sticks is longer being detected on my 3 month old PC. But the RGB lightning still works. I've swapped the sticks in different slots and 1 of the sticks still doesn't work.

I'm assuming one of my sticks is faulty?

Take out the good RAM stick and just insert the 'faulty' one. Will it boot? If not then that stick is definitely dead.

Yeah it didn’t boot with the suspected faulty one. If everything goes well later when my new ram arrives I’ll post here to confirm issue is resolved.

Hello again,

I got the ram and installed it. XMP1 profile is on. Yet my ram states it's only running at 4800mhz speed. Please help

It was set to 6000mhz. All of a sudden it's now posting with the correct memory and speed now. No idea what's going on but it seems to now be working.

Yeah. I still need to contact PCS regarding the faulty stick but I’ll do that tomorrow. This PC has stressed me out but I’m fixing the issues with everyone’s help 👍

Happened late Saturday night. PCS are closed Sunday so I went and bought ram to test.
Ah, ok, it’s worth raising an RMA now which you can do on your main PCS website account, specify that instead of a replacement kit, could you instead be reimbursed due to having to source a replacement kit as it happened outside of PCS hours and you needed it up and running ASAP.

They’d arrange collection of the faulty pair via DPD.

I can’t speak for PCS, but I’m sure they’d be ok with that, they’re very accommodating
