To be honest I wouldn't mind it getting delayed it is was for more testing (well to a certain extent) :)
Though this morning was an oddity, I am actually sat here grinning on a Monday morning :)

By testing I mean put it on the shelf to test how well it 'stands' :p

Edit: NOOO! I was too late at holding it up.. :) enjoy your PC

If that isn't already part of the Testing/QC process, then I demand it be added! I mean, its what the PC does 24/7, more than its actually on, so clearly a far more important test than whether or not some poxy card or fan works...they are only on SOME of the day :)

I am sure we can add that to your next build how many months do you want it 'strenuously' tested for?

Its here! Its here! Its here!

Unfortunately I can't really connect it up til lunchtime, since I'm using my current PC for work, but I have unboxed it, and taken out the foam packing :)
And after I've had my lunch I need to go back into work :(

It's going to seem like a long day. :)
I know, my boss is also a gamer and is probably going to be teasing me about it all afternoon and has told me if I ring in sick he will come round and drag me into work :)

Step 1: "Accidentally" knock over drink onto work PC
Step 2: Begrudgingly offer to use new PC so you're able to carry on work for the rest of the day
Step 3: Make it look like you're doing work on new PC for the rest of the day
Step 4: In reality do none

:D

Pics later? :)

Show a bit of commitment to the cause sir.... :p
Well I got it all connected, apart from the sound (but I'll come to that later this evening), booted successfully into Win8, failed to find out how to shut down til I asked a friend, and then had to come back to work :(
Will begin the installations this evening (and copying and pasting)
The blue led fan was nice and bright and blue :)

My apologies :( will you be picking up startisback or something like that? My mum got a windows 8 machine and that sorted out a lot of her headaches.

Rakk is a lady :)

It'd be so easy to comment on this, and although it would be meant with no malice and purely for comic effect, I feel it may come across the interwebs differently :)

OT: Not long til "home time" now Rakky! :D

Since English is not my first language, could you elaborate? :)

Do you get a switch to turn them off? how many are blue led?

Its just the fan at the front that can be lit up, and yes, there is a little button by the usb ports on the top so you can turn it off (though I havent tested it yet).

Edit: at some point I will try and get some pictures up

The button is a little below the surface of the case, you may need to use the blunt end of a pencil or something like that to press it right down.

So, I now have some pictures of the new machine, not many, though as I have far better things to do rather than sit taking blurry pictures :).

So, the box - really quite large:

The box once I'd got the packing box above it with the welcome pack in it out of there:

Must be said it was quite a challenge getting the PC with its packing out of the box, it was well wedged in :)
The welcome pack:

Next, a very blurry picture of the machine once I've got it out of the box with the attached label to remind me to take the packing out of the inside of the case.

Oooh, don't the insides look nice :):):)

Here it is next to my desk looking all spangly and new:

Though I do have one slight issue I've found, I have some really really blurry pictures to show the issue:
So the audio ports on the back of my old PC and the wires from my speakers:

And the audio ports on my new mobo:

Doh! Not enough!

So anyone know what I need to convert my 3 wires into one or what I need to do to get 5:1 sound, the mobo claims to have 8-channel sound.
