Put PC to sleep now my display does not work

Hey Guys,

Today I put my PC to sleep like I usually do all the time. When i pressed the keboard to start it, I sat that everything was turning on as usual except for the display.

The monitor is working fine and shows everything else but says "no signal" on the HDMI port that I am connected to.

I tried turning the PC off from the power button and turned it on again with no luck still no display.

I tried the Windows Button + Shift + CTRL + B to reset the display drivers also no luck.

Changed the HDMI cable, also no luck.

Would really appreciate some help. I also do not have another monitor to test if it works on that.

The computer was working perfectly before putting it to sleep. Any help is greatly appreciated I am freaking out a little hahah


Update: Just turned my PC on again, saw the PCSpecialist boot screen and it turned dark. Could this be of help?
- Tried to get that screen again to see boot options, now I cant see that screen anymore as well.

Ok, give this a try, remove the graphics card & plug the monitor into the motherboard HDMI output, and let us know what happens

I have not built this PC myself as well and dont quite know how to do so. Could me removing the graphics card lead to bigger issues?

Yes, I tried plugging the cable into another socket but no luck unfortunately.

Without removing the graphics card, I plugged the HDMI into the motherboard and the display works. Should I just update the graphics card drivers and hope it will fix the issue?

The motherboard is using the CPU graphics, not the graphics card.

I know i know, What I mean is that the graphics card seems to be the issue. What should I do so that I can plug the HDMI back into the GPU?

I updated the driver while I could see stuff when connected to the CPUs HDMI but no luck.

You need to follow the troubleshooting that the guys are suggesting.

If you’re uncomfortable then arrange an RMA with PCS.

I did what the guys suggested. The only suggestion was to plug the HDMI into the CPU and tell here what happens which I did.

Its been a long time since I purchased this PC and live in a different country now, so RMA is quite difficult. Everything worked fine until I put the PC to sleep.

Are there no other possibilities I could try to see if I can get it to work?

You could try removing and replacing the GPU, but it is sounding like the GPU has had it so will need to be replaced

The fan on the GPU is still working and when I check the device manager it seems to still see it and says no problem. Any other solutions maybe?

I would try uninstalling the GPU drivers with DDU, then swapping to display port if you have it for testing.

I'm glad the GPU is showing correctly, it sounds like it is not directing it to the GPU for some reason.

This can be checked in the BIOS, I've trying to find the exact route but the manuals don't have the full bIOS laid out and I'm only 2 coffees in so my memory isn't great.

In the Advanced Mode (F7), go to the Advanced section, here we're looking for an option for the default display device, I just want to make sure it's set to the GPU and not integrated.

See if you can find this setting and change it, press F10 to save and exit, you will need to swap the HDMI port back to the GPU straight after you hit enter (if you get some error beeps just restart).

If you struggle with this let me know I'll hunt down the exact route and get some screenshots for you.
